clearly an issue with size translation
as many other reviewers have noted, there is a systematic issue with ordering the size you need.

too small for my foot, and a very narrow build as others have noted as well,

though I think that would have been ok had the shoe itself been the correct size.

Cons: - Can’t really think of any aside from the fact that maybe some people might find the suede to be a con -As I said, I feel there is a SLIGHT bit of room for sc9, so sizes may run a little large if you have bigger feet.

I could tell immediately that these shoes are too small for me.

but for some reason received a European size 44 (which is a 10 1/2).

but did consult the size chart and determined an 11 for this shoe was appropriate based on the size chart and my measurements, but the design of this shoe is very, very narrow with a pointed toe.

I do NOT recommend this shoe at all if you have wide feet, and if you DO order the shoe, consider at least a whole size up.

but it doesn't fit to size or even a half size up, so take that for whatever it's worth.

Because of how narrow the toe portion of the shoe is, I could not get my feet as far forward as would be necessary for my whole foot to fit in the shoe.

-Excellent quality of materials, especially the suede, which gives it a more sophisticated look.

-High quality materials, even the insoles are leather (pictured) so it’s nice and cushy.

At least the feel very tight and narrow in comparison to the bargain priced shoes I frequent such as Calvin Klein, Steve Madden and Perry Ellis.

Even after said break in period, I feel this shoes run narrow and would recommend sizing up to E or even EE in width.

but wouldn't hesitate to go up a size width wise in these and down half a size lengthwise.

The shoes don't look like an average economy dress shoe, and this is visible throughout the details mentioned in this review.

The leather is full grain and thick, rich with leather fragrance.

The leather soles quietly click beneath you and the cork inner soles conforms perfectly to your feet providing the utmost in comfort.

When comparing this to a top of the line Florsheim I bought 13 years ago (and really starting to show their age) I'd say that this leather feels more substantial.

This is my 2nd purchase of Allen Edmonds shoes on here and I could confirm they are factory seconds.

If you appreciate true, American made quality buy a pair, you will love the feeling of becoming an Allen Edmonds man.

Since buying this pair of AE shoes I have bought 15 more pair and now I refuse to wear anything else.

The soles look cheap to me for the price so I wouldn't recommend them at $48, they are comparable to a knockoff brand of Keds that you can find at any department store near you.

I figured these would be sized similarly to Nike slides, but alas, they are slightly smaller, and this was not notated anywhere or in any reviews that I saw.

If they offered a size 14 (one above my normal), then perhaps these would be wearable.. so I'll stick w/ 3 stars.

I can't tell you how disappointed I've been with these mass produced "faux" synthetic leather slides that don't have the longevity or high-end finish.

The leather is thin and feels more like plastic and the sole is not cushioned the way that I would expect.

I wear a consistent 7.5 and I could feel the end on my heel, so if you are between sizes or do not have a narrow foot you may want to size up.
