They also pinch the front when squatting and make an annoying "squishing air sound" while walking (the air inside the shoe is forced out the tiny side air holes when they bend with each step).

No cushioning and the flexible soft sole means these are terrible for walking on pavement.

The soft rubber soles wear down quick and the lugs tend to get pressed into your feet when you step.

though after getting some gel insoles that are much needed for these since there's not much done in the way to make them too comfortable which is expected from the price.

Just bear in mind during the process of breaking them in your feet will be slightly uncomfortable and you will need some kind of insole for added comfort, and if you a half size like me you may want to keep it a size down then depending on how you like them too feel.

The deep lugs keep you from slipping on loose dirt and the soft, flexible soles help give grip on rocks and the like.

I usually wear two pairs of thick socks with these as advised by the manufacturer and it definitly makes them much more comfortable.

Normally I go through about two-three shoes a year because the stitching breaks, the soles pull apart from the shoes body, and/or  the laces rip off.

Mine started tearing down towards the end of my first season, mostly just fraying of the cam fabric.

I did some summer wrestling after that and by time I was done with that; they have had several spots on the sole where the rubber traction was chipping.

About halfway through my second season with them, the soles had a tear through them and rubber was chipping off like crazy.

but they are extremely tight on my feet and one spot in particular (where the base of the tongue attaches to the shoe - at the bottom of the laces) really puts a lot of pressure on my foot - to the point of pain.

but if I still feel that pain after that I am returning them to ASICS under warranty as defective.

BTW these have horrible traction on sweaty mats for about 1 month or untill you break them in.

I also love the  velcro strap that prevents the shoe laces from becomijg tangled as well as coming loose in the middle of action and also doubles in a more important way, as an ankle support.

but these lived up to their expectations; they fit well, are stable in the ankle and have good grip on the soles.

Anyway, this thing is nothing BUT sole and GRIP, and its AWESOME!

My son loves this pair of shoes using them for practice everyday, comfortable and well made

They are very comfy, even when wearing around a tournament all day.

The high top strap keeps the shoe very snug and stable.

but it was made up for in terms of proper packaging and the super softness of the shoes.

Have used them for two days now and have no blisters, in fact when wearing them it feels like I'm not wearing them at all - super snug, extremely light and the build quality is top notch.

I replaced the laces since the sneaker itself is very comfortable, lightweight and provides good ankle support for working outdoors on lawns with slopes.

Other than suggesting you might want to go a half size up, the only other suggestion I'd have is to order them with enough time lag that you could exchange them for a better size, if you needed to do so.

Every model of Salewa shoes I tried are very narrow, I could never get a good fit even going up one full size.

When I tried on the Wildfire Leather in 10.5 I they way too narrow, I couldn’t even get them on.

Broke in quickly and has a great grippy sole. But.

These look good, and felt comfy in a local store; we bought from Amazon for a better price.
