The toe box on the left boot is collapsing in on itself, and the sole of the boot on both of them are detaching from the boot itself.

The brand that was most expensive had some of the worst reviews saying that parts of the sole would fall off.

I did find by accident a very thin insole below the main cushion insole that was like a piece of thin construction paper.

There are areas on the sole of the boot and the sides around the ball of your feet where the siding is beginning to come off -- certainly not as quickly as some others have stated.

I can not find anything in the toe or anywhere else for that matter that would make the width somewhat adjustable.

They give me the ankle support that I like while still allowing me to wear shorts in the summer and not look too ridiculous.

They support well, especially since they are only 4" boots, and i've had great ankle support right out of the box.

These are my favorite boots.

I walk around 5 to 13 miles a day doing maintenance for a company, and these boots are holding up great and very comfortable all day long.

I would recommend these boots for the price range.

These are my only pair of boots, I wear them everyday doing basic patrol and they still hold up.

They were not very worn out and still have some life in them for the dirtier jobs, even after over a year of daily wear.

I’ve been wearing them for over 7 years ever since I got a pair while working at a food manufacturing factory (not the same GX line).

I originally purchased these in May 2016, wore them through the Police Academy, on Patrol, ran in them chasing suspects on tile flooring without sliding as well as dry dirt and mud and still maintaining traction.

They will hold a shine and have no issues with the shine at the 'toe-bend' area up front cracking the polish and I even wear them for special occasions in my blues.

I've worn these on the pavement in heat waves without feeling like the bottom of my feet are on fire.

3/1/17 I've worn the boots for a few days now, they are starting to loosen up in a good way.

Last long, warm and waterproof with goretex and thinsulate.

I've worn them at the most 6 hours straight so far and they have been very comfortable.

What I don't like about these boots: From past experience I know most boots tend to run small.

What I like about these boots: they look cool, are surprisingly light, mostly comfortable, and I have not had to wear my brace as often because the extra ankle support has been very helpful.

They are definitely uncomfortable and if you plan on wearing these boots for more than a few hours at a time, I would definitely put in different insoles.

The heel leather, like with most shoes with this design, is sort of uncomfortable as it rubs on the top.

These boots don't have much for an insole and your feet slide in them causing sores.

The inner sole feels all bunched up like your sock has slid down.

Not very comfortable at all, the inside isn't finished very well and the seams dig into the top.of my foot where the tounge is sewn in.

However, the inside of the boots seems a little thin.

The only minor issues I had were they are a bit snug,

I'm hoping them will relax a bit after some wear and will be more comfortable.

They are quite narrow also, and I don't have wide feet.

Having had a previous ankle injury I was glad these boots help support my ankles and keep the from rolling when accidently stepping into lawn divots or general small holes.

I can wiggle my toes, so plenty of room under the steel toe.

The steel toe has good coverage and leaves enough room for me to wiggle my toes around, a must for me.

The sole has very good traction and the toe has a rubber ish  cap on the exterior with the rest being a type of canvas possibly.

One positive of the canvas material is that wax can be rubbed on like a crayon and them melted in with a hair dryer to make them repel water very well.

I did not play in them as I returned them immediately after trying them on and walking around in them.

I would suggest changing laces for cotton ones

But when I ordered the black the box was all busted up and the insole was hanging out.

So i reordered and got another pair with a half pulled out insole and no paper stuffing in the shoe, etc.

However, these run just slightly wider in the toe box than my other Adidas brand shoes.

They work at preventing nails from hitting your feet and they provide good ankle support.

So I bought these boots for work I'm a woman so I have a really hard time finding boots that don't hurt my piggy toe and so with that said these boots right here are the most comfortable boots I probably ever owned cuz most boots squeeze my toes in the front or some other part of my foot these ones just fit like a glove and the steel toe doesn't bother your toes it doesn't hit your toes as long as you get the right size I size myself and probably a half a size bigger than what I normally would

I could see that if you cinched them down too much they could be uncomfortable,

but if you used a ratchet strap on some Hey Dudes, they’d probably be pretty uncomfortable as well.

I have a feeling that whoever wore these and reviewed them as uncomfortable probably ties their shoes too tightly.
