I like that it fits well in terms of size and length (following advice from fellow reviewers that one should get half a size smaller), adjustable velcro and laces are useful for customisable fit for individuals, has slight arch support, and has good grip.

My feet are on the regular/narrow side so if you have wide feet these might not be for you because the straps at the toes don’t adjust.

The first time I wore there the "extra cushioning" felt more like walking on a cross between a water balloon and a blister.

By the third time I can feel the great arch and foot support of a normal columbia shoe that I am used to so while no real "break in time was required" the oddness will go away with use.

I own 3 pairs of these (2 black and 1 blue).

They are extremely light and comfortable.

This sandal is great for active wear.

These were amazingly comfortable right out of the box.

The second time I wore them the cushioning is much more stable and while still a bit unstable was feeling better and that it might be comfortable as the shoe adapts to my particular foot.

As it is these made my plantar fasciitis WAY worse because my feet had to strain to stay in the shoe since you don't want the straps so loose your foot just flies out.

Unfortunately, the straps could not be tightened enough so they slop around on my feet.

but this M seems wide and I have the straps in the last loop and they still feel looseb even in the toe.

but theyre just normal but size 11 so I can't adjust them to fit my foot height and still get my feel to sit forward in the shoe like the should.

but I would be hesitant to do it again unless they had a 10.5 option as 11 (which is my size ALWAYS) is just too big.

They run a little big, I would have probably ordered a half size smaller, had I known

That being said - I typically wear size 8.5 or 9 so ordered a size 9 based on previous comments - they are way too big.

Returned them for a size 8 (in a different style as these were sold out in the 8's).

It took some time to adjust to how to walk so they would stay on my feet.

but I wouldn't be able to walk long distances in them despite them being marketed as comfortable shoes.

As I get older I'm finding I need more arch support so I bought some Birkenstocks

I have a high arch and these were comfortable right out of the box.

I'm an 8.5 and bought an 8 and I have plenty of sliding room in the width.

I've had a pair of these in the past that outlasted my Birks by a long shot and I'll never buy Birks again especially when these are even better, for a fraction of the price.

Shoes are stiff, as should steel toes be.

These have very little cushioning so by the end of my shift my feet were killing me.

However, in comparison to a previous pair purchase a few years ago they seem to be a little narrower.

I have relatively wide feet and they were too narrow in the size 6.

My foot is narrow, and the shoe doesn't fit snug so my stocking feet do slide up to the toe.

Because of this, my foot easily slides to the front of the shoes causing my toes to hit the front of the toe box.

however,  ( I can slide the tip of my index finger in between the shoe and my foot) which makes me walk in them like a house shoe (without socks or leggings), rather than fitting really snugly like a shoe .

Hope that they will soften up and in the meantime I am wearing them with thick socks.

But, I have this bone growth on the top of my foot (up from the arch) that gets aggravated if the shoe is too snug, and this shoe doesn't bug that bone spur.

The right boot leaks water more than the left one.

The leather is stiff over the upper toe/mid foot region, so expect pinching if you Kneel a lot.

but on day 1, they took the pressure off my sore heels and arches.

They were super comfortable (once you shit-canned those awful "antibacterial" insoles they came with, and put good ones in), with next to zero break-in required.

Back when these became issue boots in the mid-80s, they were the ultimate field boots.

These boots are super durable, and once worn-in, they can be worn all day, and I mean ALL day and long into the night, without causing problems for your feet.

But whatever; these are some damn good boots that will last for years under very hard use.

Of all the boots in this class these are the most comfortable and my feet have finally started to heal.

If you watch the line or spend hours on uneven concrete or rocks or asphalt, these boots are magic.

Also if you blouse your pants these look great as they are 10 inch boots designed for that purpose.

But These I wear 9.5 and they are perfect.
