I have other pairs of Ariat boots which are all size 8, so ordered an 8 - large fitting, I had to send them back and get a 7.

They were a little tighter than my last pair of the same size,

Though I have read that this is normal in a cowboy boot, it feels like I wish I could get JUST the heel in a smaller size, since the toe-box and instep fit perfectly,

I tried stores and no one had them in my size.

Ariat boots in my experience do run maybe a half size small

They will not in my experience hold up to farming and ranching and a lot of wear and tear

The only thing I have noticed is that for some reason my feet are sweating more in these,

They will be a little stiff and work on the heel just a little when you first wear them.

I have had several ariat boots over the years and have always loved them .I bought these ones to replace my over 12 year old pair that I wear all the time .love the round toe for work around outside house ,cutting wood ,camping on the 4 wheeler will buy another pair

she loves the Ariat brand and they fit her perfectly!

Bottom line: I am really impressed with Ariat!

If Ariat continues providing quality wide boots like these I will buy again in a heartbeat!

I like the taller shaft (compared to the fat babies), as the shorter shaft catches on my stirrup fenders.

:-) Support: I have wide feet-- and high arches!

Personal reference for fit: As a person with a normally 7.5 wide foot with high arches, thin ankles and medium-ish calves - I am quite comfortable in the 7.5 C boot.

Anyway, these boots have a decent arch support in the shoe bed.

You can reach in the boot and feel the arch support bump with your finger.

But as it stands this is fine with socks, as the construction of the heel on this boot is engineered to be a smooth bump inward that doesn't rub.

These boots look better on my legs when I wear them with some boot socks.

Quality: -The boots are well packaged- carefully filled with paper and a boot shaft form.

but I see no distressing marks on my boots save where they now have walking-stretching marks from normal use.

-All of the stitching, from the piecing, to the shoe bed, to the decorative, down to what I can see inside the boot screams quality.

Riding horses I like the rubber sole for grip,

The sole is similar, they are comfortable even after standing/walking on concrete floors for hours.

This also prevents the shaft from rubbing at the curve at the bottom of my calves when wearing them out for long periods.

-The interior footbed liner and the sole seem thoughtfully engineered for comfort - both touches nodding towards form and function are present here.

but functional (with wearable heel, sole and comfortable toe-box!).

These new-style boots with the hooks at the top instead of eyelets don't send me at all.

And the cheap rubber tongue -- what's that about?

I'd buy Ariat again and will probably look at them when I'm ready to buy tall boots again.


My new Ariat Paddock boots feel very comfortable, I am riding a horse 3/4 times a week and desperately needed new boots.

The fit is perfect, not too narrow and not too wide.

these are thankfully narrower than I could have ever hoped for and there is room for a slim orthotic or sheepskin inside.

(I have a narrow foot and got size 7, and it gave me a good amount of room if I want to add insoles or wear thick socks.)

I will continue to purchase these boots about every 3-4 years.

In addition to wearing v well for many miles of riding on my horseback safari in southern Africa, they were absolutely comfortable to walk in on the street and in the bush.

They're not just for the barn, they look great under dress pants and they're amazingly comfortable.

I bought these keens tad bit after some Ariat Turbo's of bout the same comparison (lace up 6").

I like both my Ariat Turbo's and Keen Pittsburg's for someone that is on their feet good part of the day.

With this Keen, I had to order 1/2 size bigger and a wide to accommodate the steel toe and I'm glad I did that cause they fit perfect.

If you have a wide foot this boot is the one will order another set shortly

There was no breaking in, very comfortable and waterproof.

though my Ariats are just as comfortable now I do favor the Keens a bit more.

I love this boots
I like them a lot because you don't have to deal with the laces, so the only thing I can be against is that you have to wear them for a while until they mold to your foot, after that it's all good, I put that on the toe to protect them because when you work on your knees they scratch and you can see the metal

The leather souls are very slick at first

Ever since they moved the operation to Mexico, the stitching blows out LONG before the soles wear through, and then if you try to get them repaired the leather won't hold, plus they have to get deeper bite which makes them fit tighter than before.

The soles still have plenty of leather on them, yet the stitching has blown out.

It's a different leather that doesn't shine up well for a uniform boot, they fit differently so you'll likely wear a different size, and it has a contrasting color stitching around the top.

I looked down and the stitching had already blown out on the inside of one of the boots.

I returned the boot because the fit was bigger than expected and I will go into a store to get the proper fit.

Compared to a similar priced roper boot from Ariat, this boot is much nicer.

While my feet is wide on top it still is comfy even in wide width

The 13 wide sizing was perfect because my feet are a little wider than normal

but extra wide so I was happy to find them in between.

I’m sure as they break in the comfort rating will probably go to 5 stars being that I’ve only worn them three times.

It's also important to note that these boots have never even needed to be polished!

* warning they run sort of large based on other reviews, I wear a 10-10.5 depending on the boot style and grabbed a size smaller and it worked well.

They are a LITTLE bit bigger than the Ranger boots (both are size 9)

Even expensive boots just get demolished no matter what I do, if it isn’t the pint it’s the thinners we use, mostly concentrated toluene and acetone.

I wear a 9.5 EE in my Ariat boots, and knowing rubber boots typically run large I went with a 9 and it fits great.

I can slip them on and off easily since the opening at the top of the boot is wide, while the bottom of the boot is just snug enough to keep my foot from sliding around in it when wearing regular crew socks.

I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they are, and my feet stayed dry all day.

However, these boots checked all my boxes and they come with a very comfortable insole as well!

So far, I am VERY pleased, they go on and off much more easily than my old boots.

Just like a good pair of winter boots are.

Pleasantly surprised with this budget boot!

The height of the boot allows your pants to be comfortably tucked inside and my Tyvek suit to go down and over and since the suits have elastic, it even grabs onto the ridges around the ankle of the boot.

If you do similar work and destroy boots on the regular these are a saving grace.
