I think that these may just run a quarter size smaller than Asics normally are.

It's possible that the others with mesh tearing are similarly buying their normal size and they are under too much tension from being a little too small.

I normally take a 10.5 UK in Asics - these are  little narrower than i would normally buy.

Because they are a bit uncomfortable to wear on my toes, I have not used them as much as I would have otherwise, so I can't say if the durability issues others have had would be an issue for me.

Good Old Asics GT-2000 with a bit more
These shoes are your basic Asics GT-2000 with more tread, substantially more than non-'trail' and they have Plasma guard all over and around the toe box area which keeps junk away - no hard toe box though, and personally

This is a real shame because they are otherwise the best Asics I've had in years in terms of how they feel under my feet.

As I said, these are the most comfortable Asics I've had in years if you take the toe box fit out of the equation, so I'm torn between moving on or trying a half size bigger.

I've been running in ASICS GT-2000 since the #1 model (and before that, the 2160s).

I'm so glad ASICS didn't compromise what made the GT-2000 series great!

On the appearance side they look Great (colour scheme) and the Plasma Guard around the toe box is very obvious - in a good way.

however, allows me to get a good fit and I use orthotics which fit well in the shoe.

They fit great in terms of length and width,

I've tried some on and they still fit within the normal parameters,

They fit, wear and last exactly the same which is about one year.

but then laced up correctly they fit like a glove

They are not narrow at times all like some negative reviews claimed.

I have been an ASICS Nimbus fan for years.

I was so happy to put my foot back into a perfect shoe with ASICS Nimbus 21.

This shoe is perfect for those with high arches, small ankles with needed support and a slightly wider toe box.

Everything fits normal and toe box is amazing-plenty is room and at the sane time it doesn’t feel way too roomy.

It took me a while to actually come to a decision which pair fits me better-nimbus 20,21 or kayano 25.

I picked these-super comfy, great support, fits me like a glove.

My foot feels like on top of the cake-so soft and almost invisible support.

I've been running 5-6 days a week in Asics Gel-Cumulus shoes for many years.

I have tried many different running shoes (brooks, hoka, oncloud, Altra, etc) these (and ASICS in general) have always been my go-to.

These are amazing - exactly the high quality I was expecting from ASICS!

They have a nice wide toe box, and the upper materials give enough support without being too rigid.

The wide toe box helps keep my feet from feeling “smushed” in the shoe.

Very well sized toe box coming from someone who is very sensitive in that area.

They are very comfortable and supportive.

I literally couldn't wait to wear them - that's how comfortable & happy they make me feel.

Of the colors that I tried, the Aquamarine color were the most comfortable and perfect fitting!

These shoes are so comfortable, they are totally worth a try or two!

I have been on the hunt for the best tennis shoes for my needs and these definitely check all my boxes.

True to size and I got them on Prime Day sale for such a good price.

I went up 1/2 size as suggested by other reviewers and that worked great for me.

Brooks Men's Addiction Walker Walking Shoes

but not as much support
I ordered the Addiction for two reasons: 1) I couldn’t bring myself to pay $160 for the new Brooks Beast, but still wanted a shoe with a stronger, more supportive midsole than the typical sneakers popular today.

Not sure if that’s because they were new or because they weren’t as supportive as Beasts.

Initially I did not think they were really comfortable, they are not the most comfortable standing still because they are supportive at the heel, jogging trainers feel softer cushioned.

After receiving these shoes, I no longer believe in any benefit to buying shoes from a brick-and-mortar store, because there is no excuse for letting people throw money away on New Balance and Dunham when the Brooks Addiction Walker exists in the same size.

that was just a bit small, so returned for an 8.5.

though I've found I need a larger size than normal (I got 10.5 when I normally have 9.5-10).

but it wasn't enough to make me send it back and order something extra wide.

But recently MBT's changed the manufacture of their shoes, and the soles have developed a fault, after buying three pairs and the soles falling to bits at various stages post purchase, I decided I had to find a new brand.

After the first week with them, I threw all three pairs of New Balance that I had in the trash with that smug sense of satisfaction that you only find when overcoming an obstacle after years of wrestling with it, the kind that makes animated leprechauns jump in the air while clicking their heels together.

They also breathe as well as the last pair of running shoes I had (an Asics model I've since forgotten though they were awesome), which shouldn't be possible since those were mesh above the toe box and these are solid,

The comfort They are comfortable the standard width is quite wide so helps people who over pronate or have flat feet, the toe box is also nice and roomy.

They check all the boxes for me, from having a broad toe box without looking too angular in front, to simply amazing tread and grip that has never once left me nearly losing footing or even slightly rolling an ankle no matter how rugged the terrain, to remaining as comfortable in the 16th hour of wear as they were when I put them on in the morning.

They are well made and black leather looks quite smart I think, I wore them often in the evenings.

I now actually wear them all the time at home.

The difference in experience is as striking as going from walking barefoot to wearing sandals: you go from seeing some discomfort as inevitable to being very surprised in the rare occasions when it occurs.

You heard me right, that single pair has lasted me through over three years of daily wear, and it's only the separation of the soles from the uppers that is prompting that because otherwise they still look fantastic and feel like clouds under my feet.

The first day I wore them I was actually uneasy with how much more natural they felt against my feet than any shoes I'd worn before, to the point that my gait changed a bit to what I now realize is how my body always wanted to move.

They are so light, such good quality and easily the comfiest shoes I have ever worn.

I wear them all the time, and will be buying them again for sure.

I can get by wearing it in the City with a suit as it's black leather.

The most impressive feature of the shoe is how comfortable it is when you're walking, especially on hard surfaces.

though my (effort exerted) for both items here would be equal because the Addiction Walker shoes make walking feel easier.

Durability The outside durability is decent and the soles will probably last about 2000miles of walking if not more (average shoe lasts me about 6 months which is about 500miles of walking).

However, the benefit comes in these when you walk, they are very good for walking as they are supportive under the heal with plenty of cushion at the front as you roll forward.

I walk up to about an hour a day in the shoes on hard pavements and it seems to give reasonable shock absorption.

The midsole passed my bend test, and they feel comfortable.

If you suffer from any sort of foot problem causing discomfort, as I do, my bet is your feet will have a happy relationship with these shoes.

This shoe also has more cushion and a better rocker than the Asics Nimbus 25).

These are neutral running shoes and she went up 1/2 size and the toe box has a good amount of room and she hasn’t had any blisters or pain while running in the supercells.

I just tried these on and they feel as good as any of the high end and much more expensive max cushion running shoes from ASICS and Hoka that I've worn in the past.

Fit seems true with a sufficient toe box that can sometimes be a problem in the regular width.

I have plantar facsitis.. this is a good option; for some strange reason i have another pair
