The straps are uncomfortable at the heel, and if I had to walk any kind of distance in these, I know I'd have blisters.

I have wider ankles and I don't find the straps uncomfortable at the ankle or across the front of my feet – they're fairly stretchy, yet do a great job of holding the shoe on your foot.

Also, the elastic straps are quite big and don’t fit my ankles properly.
