The rubber from the sole which comes up to the front seems to have come off just a bit

but in case I need more support or correction, the insoles do peel out (with some effort, so I didn't try too hard).

Other sneakers with a more narrow toe box is definitely worse.

I was able to get 12 wide, and they are a teeny bit more snug in the toes than I'd like,

but still staying strong through beaches, rivers, and long walking distances and runs.

Comfy for long walks and lasted quite a while through a 7 hr hike which was partially through water.


I've been wearing ASICS shoes for about 20 years and find them to be incredibly comfortable.

I’m keeping the shoes anyway because they’re comfortable and luckily, the color didn’t matter that much.

The fit is great and the colour is sharp.

but the opening of the shoes are wide enough to fit my wide toes inside without undoing the laces every time!

But to be able to even fit into women's sneakers at all is huge for me!

But if you have a high instep these have no give in the strap and won’t fit.

I ordered a 7.5 regular (my usual size) and the strap closest to the base of the foot is a little big.

Once I got the size right it was smooth sailing.

They look exactly like the picture and they are absolutely perfect for trips were you expect to walk for long distances or time periods.

but if you need waterproof boots that are actually waterproof - look elsewhere.

The only thing to keep in mind is that they are not water proof.

They kept ripping or worse, and falling apart, lasting at most 6 months.

Oh, also could use another hole to lace tighter, as my ankles are small.

If there's anything to complain about, 1) the soles are a bit thin for my walks (I just added a thin sole & it works perfectly), and 2) the shoelaces loosen.

They are not as cushy as other Merrell sandals, and the adjustable strap doesn't really hold that well.

but I needed to cinch down the top straps significantly to secure the shoe.

I cinched the strap and realized the design flaw immediately.

I wasn't a fan of the excess strap and the look of the velcro areas.

I was unable to unbuckle the strap, and i'm unsure if the buckle is supposed to be like that.

You don't NEED the buckle, it's not adjustable, there is velcro instead.

But I'm unsure why theres a buckle at all.

The straps are still loose in this sandal also,

but all the other many straps were loose and floppy.

Even the sides of the shoe weren't secured to my foot and fell away because of how loose it was.


Highly annoyed that I had to pay for shipping AND pay for shipping to return the item.

I assume  I can’t return them as they have been worn, so all in all, disappointment is my main feeling.

Overall I'm returning the Terran and keeping the Muri simply because the back of the shoe.

Wore these for the first time two days ago and whilst out walking the strap on the right foot kept slipping through the clip so I had to keep stopping to tighten it.

The grip on the bottom has a fabric coating, and is rather slippery on tile (I almost died) BUT I feel like this fabric coating is not unusual in new shoes, and will likely be much better after 1 full day of use.

But a lot of people will need to adjust the straps on the shoe or else these will not fit.

I'm sure I will appreciate the space after a long day of walking.


Have had several pairs of Merrill sandals in the past and know that the footbed is the most comfortable.

My experience wearing Merrell sandals is these fit true to size and comfort.

The shoe fit as expected, I typically buy size 9 more than any other size in any brand, and size 9 was perfect in this shoe.

Both sandals fit perfectly in my expected/usual size.
