My son wore a hole completely through the soles of the shoes to were his toes were hanging out.

I also wasn't too impressed with the stiffness of the sole,

There’s no way he would have fit his regular size in these, they run really small apparently.

I did have my daughter try on the one shoe that was her size and it was definitely running a bit small.

Save yourself the trouble and don’t get the velcro ones!

The d-rings that hold those straps in place all popped for each of my kiddos in less than a year.

I took off a star bc sizing is not standard for US.

He hiked a few national parks right after that and they were excellent through the terrain with no blisters or pain.

Anyways, if you want a sturdy hiking shoe that can be slipped on quickly without having to worry about laces untying and having to be retired in a jiffy— then these are the shoes to get!

Comfortable on the first use, which was a long hike.

I bought these for my son and he loves them.

I ussually purchase Keen shoes because they are the only shoe that lasts longer than 1-2 months.

After reading the reviews, I ordered two sizes up and that was a good decision.

I ordered a 5 in these and it’s the right size.

I was credited the refund within minutes of processing the return, which meant that I ordered a replacement on the same day these shoes arrived without having to foot the bill twice.

Me gustaron muchísimo, llegaron super rápido antes de lo que esperaba, son cómodas ,estaba dudosa si pedir una talla más o media y me decidí por media talla y fue una buena decisión me quedaron muy bien,  ni justas ni muy grandes, perfectas para hacer hiking, voy a ver qué tal aguantan la lluvia y los charcos espero que no me decepcionen, por lo pronto creo que si cumplen con la relación calidad precio.

This shoe was comfortable from the first wear.

I was hiking through deep snow and feet stayed dry.

I used them for 4 days in the snow and they were comfortable enough, loved the way they looked and worked great, My feet were super dry!

Previous reviews are correct: they didn’t need a huge break-in period, they are very comfortable, and they keep the water out.

There's one nagging flaw: one of the shoes tongue slips down causing the knotted lace to press against the skin.

but these are great trail/hiking shoes, I purchased them and put 10miles on them to brake them in for a hiking trip to Lake Tahoe and 25 miles of hiking.

This shoe would be a good option for upland game hunting as long as it's not in water or climbing rocks.

I bought these men's shoes because I am a gal with wide feet that are tired of being squeezed in shoes that are not shaped like feet.

Sadly, as is always the problem for me, the manufacturer forgets that people are often wider at their metatarsal heads, too.

but SLIGHTLY narrower than a lone peak, NBD.

The soles start detaching around the base of my large toe and it's downhill from there.

The Topo’s have a harder, more rigid sole

They don’t have the cushion of a Speedgoat or Olympus.

but I haven't even had them a month and the soles started to peel away from the shoe.

.but there is no way the two pairs bought from different sources almost a year apart are from the same batch and it's a little hard to think of being 450 bucks into a pair of shoes!

I've been wearing running shoes since the idea first really came into being in the early 70s and this is one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever had.

Super comfortable and everything I was looking for.

I've worn this as daily shoes (no longer running due to knee issues) and they are fabulous. EXCEPT!

If you like Altra, you'll love these
Have 2 runs in these so far so this is not a long term review, more of a short overview on fit and perceived construction.

If you are an Altra lover I STRONGLY suggest you give these a try.

For construction the seams look more robust, and the Vibram sole in my experience holds up better than standard Altra.

I wear a size 8.

The shoes run narrow, and they don't have a standardized size system for their shoes, that I can identify.

but they are at least 1 or 1.5 sizes too small.

but the price went up too high for me to exchange for larger size.

The shoe fits large and even with a size 7 I was able to put in my half orthotics in.

Slightly wide footbed so not perfect for me,

but fairly built at 244lbs and I often sport these shoes for power walks with a 50lbs weighted vest 2-5 miles at a time mostly on pavement and the mid of the soles have lost probably 2/3 of their tread.

I just wish the sizing were more comprehensive.

Went golfing (18 holes) in this in super hot weather - mid 30's and it was fine, my feet didn't blister or was I sore at the end of the day.

I have bought a half a dozen trekking and hiking shoes this past year and these are by far the most comfortable,  one of the lighter ones and weather proof mid boots I currently own.

When I find the size that fits, these are very comfortable and work for my semi-active needs.

They do provide the cushioning and support that makes activity not painful, and I have arthritic ankles.

They truly check all the boxes: supportive, breathable, water resistant, lightweight, comfy, and still sporty looking.

Great shoes, my gf says they are extremely comfy.

Inaccurate product description
The reason there are so many reviews on here stating that the boots run small is for a very good reason.

This was also not disclosed in the item description.

however, they shipped a women’s shoe when I ordered men’s — the ad description clearly says Men’s.

Just say this was a return and we didn't put the interior cardboard inside the shoe and the original box was lost.

In addition, the boots that I received were an obvious customer return that arrived with signs of wear and not in the original packaging.

I will be returning these and purchasing a similar pair from a different vendor.

The only thing is that I was feeling my feet a little hot sometimes, I wore them in September.

These are very comfortable Hiking boots: Soft enough to eliminate the need for "break in", with enough internal structure to provide good ankle & foot support.

but out of the box they were very comfortable and fit as expected.
