Good traction, they are very waterproof and warm with good socks on.

We live in Minnesota where winter hits hard and this is one of the few brands I trust to keep my kids warm and dry.

They have been wearing them all winter here in Alaska and even into negative temperatures there have been no complaints of cold feet or discomfort of any kind.

Unfortunately the rubber started to split and crack in a couple of places after a few months of light wear.

The trouble is they developed splits in the sides after only a couple months of use.

I found these Bogs and they are perfect for the non-snowy months.

Perfect For My Needs
I needed low cut, waterproof shoes for walking my dogs.

When I found these shoes, the fit was perfect.

however this rubber material does not fair well on the sole of the shoe because it wears down quickly.

but the bottom part of the shoes wear out making it slippery on wet pavement or concrete.

I can say that after 3 months of wearing them in wet situations, I didn't wear them in dry situations, I only wore them on specific days for temporary amounts of time, the soles still wore out.

I probably would have been more satisfied with a different brand that was made to fit my foot and used a different material on the soles.

Suggestion: choose a harder more durable stiffer composite rubber for the bottom sole of the shoe that contacts the ground so that it doesn't wear too quickly and maintains grip.

I could wear a thick sock to take up more space

They do fit a little big, so go for the size down, as I wear a 10.5 and I went with a 10 after I originally ordered the 11 size.

Only complaint is they do not come in 1/2 sizes and they do run big.

Shoe doesn't fit perfectly
I first ordered the size 13, which was too tight, I then ordered the size 14, which was too big.

They dont have a size 13.5 so that was a let-down.

My sons calf doesn’t even remotely fit in this and neither do I and I have very large calves.

It is very easy to put them on and they are very comfortable.

Very comfortable and work great with synthetic wool socks to keep blisters away and stay warm & dry from sweat.

I bought these in June, cracked in early November.

I just want a boot that won't crack this soon after the purchase.

UPDATE: I tried contacting Zappos about a replacement, they couldn't help me because I bought the boot through Amazon.

Can be a little slick on some wet surfaces.

I was fishing on a bank and slipped on some wet mossy pavement making these boots really unreliable for anything other than flat surfaces.

It is slightly slick on some wet clay-type surfaces

Anything frozen and these are downright dangerous and unusable.

If you had your soles designed by Dunlop you would have a far and away unbeatable boot.

I seriously had my doubts in the beginning that I’d be sending these back for being too tight These are the first waterproof versions I’ve ever bought and the very first thing I did was go stand in the lake on my hike and they kept my feet dry!

Most other hiking shoes (even of this same brand) would be trashed by now, yet I haven't even had to use shoe goo on them yet because the soles aren't worn through even a little.

I think it helps that I never wore them in the rain (I've noticed that every time I wear a pair of hiking shoes in the rain they seem to wear down really fast afterwards so now I only wear hiking shoes that I hate when it rains, which is easy considering it rarely rains here).
