The boot comes laced up, so it’s likely that someone discovered they couldn’t fully lace the boot properly before it shipped.

Also, the back part of the boot, where the top part of your heel sits in the boot, right where your foot bends… the boots dug into the top part of my heel so badly that it started to bleed.

The material used is great and even love the shoe laces that will last a long time and they did not use cheap material.

If Rocky boots continue to make this boot, I will definitely continue to purchase this model boot.

but I like them anyhow, they're sturdy and comfortable, and I think they'll be good boots for the price.

They do wear out a little weird, and I'll get into why a little further down.

They're kind of annoying to wear with jeans as a result and don't really look "right" with anything, to be honest.

And because the leather is fake, they wear out in kind of an ugly way.

On mine, the finish wore off in the toes, exposing whatever's underneath - kind of a white support structure of some kind.

I will say that they are not as comfortable, though, and I would not wear them as a flight instructor because of the potential for damage.

even though they are waterproof they are a dress boot and not suitable for anything more than lite casual wear.

After wearing them out a few times I have a couple of scuff marks deep into the leather which leads me to believe the leather quality is substandard.

They're not casual enough for shorts or wide legged jeans, not dressy enough for khakis or dress pants.

The sole is rubber, the "leather" is totally fake (and not all that convincing) and there is cushioning everywhere.

Your pants will get caught up on the highly padded tops of these.

However, these have a thick padding around the tongue, and it made my feet hot and sweaty.

A chukka boot is definitely a classic as are my Timberlands.

They are actually pretty comfortable! When I first got them, I was like "what the heck is this?!"

but I kept them because they were comfortable.

Definitely more comfortable than the "real" chukka boots I owned both before and after these.

Very comfortable stylish, we'll see how long they last and this will be the deciding factor if I buy this brand again.

Really comfortable fit
This is my second Nunn Bush chukka which says it all for their good, comfortable and consistent fit.

3 lace eyelets which ensure a snug fit so no blisters for me.


The shoe is extremely comfortable and good looking.

I had bought Nunn Bush in a loffer style before and the shoes lasted me a long time.

This boot has the original rubber sole instead of the cheap one they now make
The new bearpaw boots use cheap material to make the bottom sole which is slippery and which to me have lost it's quality so it's a plus when you can find a bearpaw boot with the original rubber sole.
