Perfect boot, leather so supple
I was looking for a leather boot that is easy to slip on and off for my son.

buttery soft and it was so easy for my son to slip on and off he was wearing it around the house the whole day.

They provide protection and support and slip on and off coming in and out of the house.

The boot comes with a removable foam sole just in case the boot is too big, and you can remove it if you feel that your feet are too snug.

We really love this boot and I hope it holds up.

My heel developed a blister after less than 2 hours.

Most of the heal ripped off while I was coming down a ladder.

The soles will begin to show cracking when you bend them front to back.

leather on the boot seems to be of fair quality with the shaft leather being really soft and flexible.

The selling points for me are the light, non-marring sole and relatively easy slip on/slip off.

Overall though, these are my “go-to” non-marring slip on work boots

Boots are also comfortable right out the box.

They are VERY comfortable to walk about in.

The sole is a very soft foam core (that makes them really comfortable) with a harder rubber outter.

My dogs are always barkin’ and these boots are very comfortable.

Get what you pay for
I very much like these boots.

These boots have my OK for anyone with average width feet.

The boot will certainly outlast the sole.

The glitter area is just stunning, not too bright, everything about this boot so far is great, even the sole is not slipper thought I usually have a thing tread put on some of my boots, depending on how smooth so they dont slip.

The fit is perfect, I like a half size large so they are never tight, and the 8 I usually take I ordered up a size and they look perfect and fit perfect.

So make sure you order 1/2 size smaller than your normal sneaker size.

The 6" moc boots in size 11.5 arrived first from Amazon and when I opened the box, the first thing I noticed was how the boots looked "broken in" and the leather was faded, dried out, and old.

I tried the boots on, just to get a gauge on size and found the 11.5s to be too big.

In my mind, the leather used to be a little less stiff, a little more supple right out of the box,

The leather seemed to have a few scuffs on it which I don’t believe was intentional distressing, which is why I deducted a star.

NOTE: It did darken the leather though, the gray turned almost black (which is what I kinda wanted anyways), I attached a picture of them after I lubed them.

You wouldn’t want to walk 10 miles in them on day one,

the leather on these boots is quality thick leather.

I recently purchased a pair of the Red Wing Heritage chukkas boots in briar oil slick and the 11.5 fit me perfectly.

The color of the briar oil slick along with the crepe sole looks amazing.

I applied Bicks #4 to take away that dry look of new leather and it took care of the scuffs and put a nice shine on the boots without darkening the beautiful color at all.

Awesome boots AFTER they are broke-in
Here is the scoop on these Red Wings.

This helped the most, and also add protection to the boots in the process.

I liked the chukkas so much I ordered the 6" boots.

While the boots looked as if someone had tried them on before, I could tell the size 11 was perfect for me and the boot fit great.

I am very happy with the 6" moc boot and actually find them easier to break in than my chukkas.

Once you decide on a color(s), and once you find your fit, I think just like my you will be sold on Red Wing Heritage boots.

but they’re generally comfortable right out of the box with some wool work socks.

Every time I wear them they get more and more comfortable.

I think of them as more comfortable than my favorite pair of running shoes,

After wearing them a day the shaft is still a bit stiff

but the rest of the boot is so stiff they stand up on their own.

But just know that they are very tight in the calf (I have small calfs) and you also really have to push your foot down hard to get into them.

Overall, I am very happy with my Clark leather boots.

I have a high arch and still had room to slide into the boot with no problem.

After you get them on though, they are very comfortable and very cute.

For the money they cost they should not have these problems though with the soles they was reviews for 2 or 3 years so maybe they had time reevaluate there quility control manager or who is sewing soles or the type of glue they use

I've only had them for a few months (during which time I also wore winter boots so the Kodiaks were not being worn daily) and already the sole is detaching from the boot itself, making them not waterproof anymore.

I work 12 hour shifts at a steel mill and these boots are so uncomfortable, even after breaking them in.

I can't use insoles because they make the met guard rub against my foot in an uncomfortable way.

I have narrow feet and this is the first time I've had this problem.

but my feet are killing me more then any other boot I've worn.

They run really big as I wear a 9 in shoe's so I ordered two pairs a 9 and a 8.5.

The top of these boots is a little loose on my skinny legs
