My feet sometimes got clammy, so I would recommend a better moisture wicking sock perhaps.

although I wish I had went a half size larger to accommodate for thicker winter socks.

So now I had to decide whether to return or to keep so the next hour was spent making sure that the lacing was how I needed it to be to accommodate my wide feet while wearing thick socks and eventually I got there.

though I doubt I will be able to wear these in the dead of summer when it is 100 degrees out.

When I first looked at the Color granite, it looked "boring sneakers" (especially with the Blue jeans I wear) and not my typical Brown ones that just screamed "hiking boots" with more flash.

anyway, I was going to need these boots, most especially to wear on my other uninjured foot to provide some rock solid support and stability.

What really pleased me was unlike the Keens, these were so much lighter, almost like I was wearing nothing at all.

I've been wearing Merrell Mid hiking shoes since 2016.

My previous two pairs were Moab 2, and I've been very happy with the wear, fit and waterproof qualities.

but more of a daily wear during the colder seasons and inclement weather (although I do occasionally hike with these).

All the generations of Moabs I've owned are also great for in town wear.

Overall, if you are looking for a solid hiking boot that comes in a variety of sizes, needs no break in period and can deal with possibly having warm feet I would absolutely go for these hiking boots.

These are great everyday "shoes" (hiking boots with give on the ankle, that looked like GREAT SHOES with no slippage, great absorption of Impact, and lots of stability), I appreciated being able to wear them everywhere and it provided all the stability, lightweight, waterproof, non-slippage, and Impact absorption.

The Foxelli boots were good and got me a few years.

I've had great luck with Merrell Moab Mid boots.

In addition to the Moab Mid boots, I also have two pairs of the Moab shoes (I think gen 2) that are also holding up well.

Amazingly, it exceeds my expectation, hiked kilometres and my feet didnt feel tired or aching, it got good grip as i never slip any any steep path.

It is a good hiking shoe First of all, I like the shoe and it is very comfortable.

The 3s have more structure and bit firmer sole which helps me as so much of my hiking is gravely/rocky cross country high desert.

I still have to do a serious hike in the weather that will put them to a real test

Good for Orthotics These are one of two kinds of shoes I buy that I can find some comfort in, due to my pronated ankles, arthritis, tarsal tunnel syndrome, and neuropathy.

I have worn it over 25 times in the last year since its purchase.

I bought a second pair to alternate days that I wear them.

These will work for what I bought them for, an office environment where I don't do a lot of walking,

but I needed a brown pair and since it was a good quality boot that fit well and was comfortable and supported my ankles and feet very well I decided to buy online.

Most Comfortable Pair Of Boot's I ordered these boots in January and have worn them every single day for my job.

Movement is good, traction is incredible, my feet have never gotten hot while wearing these, and YES they are waterproof.

The only draw back is this, do not buy them as a "special occasion" shoe where they are only wore 3, 4 or 5 times a year.

My only complaint is the bottoms are so hard that on flat rocks they are brutal and wet flat rocks forget about it.

Some shoes make a flat sole and add padding, that’s not the Ecco way.

Very Sturdy Boot I gave these boots 5 stars because they are very high quality.

He wears them and walks and trots all around and loves them.

He is now 19 months old and still can wear them.

At first the 2 1/2 year old refused to wear them,

He refused to wear all his other shoes once he got them.

He's been wearing them now for four or five months, and they still look new.

But he loved hiking in them and wore them all the time.

Our son has worn this exact model shoe for at least 3 years and they have always been of excellent quality and extremely durable, showing almost no wear before he outgrew them each time.

Because the boots are waterproof hiking and so sturdy, it makes them a very stiff boot and heavy boot.
