I am diabetic, and have literally spent hundreds of dollars on shoes, from Timberland Pro (uncomfortable, $125.00), to Dr. Scholl's ($ 39.00 sucks) to Ariat ($100.00, years ago they used to be great boots, not now).

My grandpa and uncle have worn these boots as general contractors since as long as I can remember. And they have always said things like, "it's like wearing a slipper on the job site" and "these are the best boots we've ever owned."

Second time that I have purchased Wolverine boots and I find myself wondering why I even bothered with other work boots.

And they are holding up great, if you're not sure on sizing what I did was went to jcpennys and tried them on and then bought them online, because they are a lot cheaper on amazon.

14 months on and my boots have started to disintegrate!

I’ve contacted the repair division of the company and they have said they can’t be repaired!

Stiff and uncomfortable
For a barefoot boot this pair was super stiff and uncomfortable.

Have worn 3 - 5 hours every day since rec'd (9 days) to see if boots will be good for canyon-hiking.

They are, especially because toe box is roomy enough for toes to 'spread'/move/bend -

The boots lace up just over the ankles and provide good ankle support.

Lovely soft boots to walk in with no stiffness whatsoever.

I have Vivobarefoot gobi hi boot which I love, very flexible and great barefoot feel, the tracker hi was the complete opposite.

I found them comfortable from the start and have racked up about 8 miles over the last few walks and they have been great so far!

Very comfortable and 100% worth the money.

They fit as expected- size 9.5 Can work on knees, sit back on the heels, and not crush or stress the toe box.

These cat's are great for hiking and they keep the ankles locked in proper.

but the slightly pointier toe (important for getting into stirrups quickly) made the toe box a close fit, especially over my very high instep.

So much lace that you can wrap them once around your ankle before tying.

Great Boots
Started riding English in my 40s and these were the only boots I could find in a size 13 in stock at the time.

Otherwise, this is a beautiful boot that is very well made.

I have always loved the resilient soles and these boots continue to shine in that regard.

I was looking for a dress boot and these fit the bill perfectly.

I normally wear an 8.5 - 9 in booties and the 9 was too small width, length, and arch.

The toe area is definitely snug (even I'll need to stretch it a tad) and the heel area will do with just a strip of "heel slip" tape for me.

The soles are slippery, so those will also need some non-skid something added and cushoning is meh.

Nice Bootie
This is one of my favorite brands as the shoes are always so comfortable out the box.

The height of the shaft is just right that they won't get caught up on pant leg and you have to keep adjusting them. No "junk" on them (ankle straps, hideous zippers, buckles etc.)

So happy to finally find a pair of plain, classic black ankle boots!
