Thought I was ordering slip on shoes I received them and they have laces to tie I'm rather disappointed for $150 the images hide the rest of the laces making people think they are just slip on shoes.

That said, I can say that the ride right out of the box is very smooth and stable.

Plenty of room in the toe box for my Injinji-clad piggies to splay out, and no rubbing or irritation.

However this updated version has it all: wide toe box

but close fitting throughout the rest of the shoe (so no sliding around inside the shoe), 5mm drop (not too high - not too low), Zipfoam midsole, plush tongue and heel cups, Vibram outsole (the best! ), decent lugs for traction, laces that never come undone (the only shoes I don’t have to double-knot!)

The extra padding and updated foam make my feet happy on long runs and technical trails.

The Vibrim outsole remains unchanged and is awesome.

A great follow up to the previous version
I have a pair of much loved, yet rather dingy, Mountain Racer 2s that are pretty much my favorite trail shoes ever.

These were comfortable straight out of the box and true to size.

Total comfort, nice/wide toe box, great (1) grip on soft and rocky surfaces, stays tied, stays tight!

Perfect for trail running, hiking or just walking around town.

I used to swear by trail runners for my hiking endeavors; my last pair being the Adidas Terrex 305’s (awesome show

I switched it up and went with a hiking shoe this time around and am happy with the choice.

They feel more supportive and held up well during 20 miles of loaded hiking into the Glacier NP backcountry in July 2021.

Nike Men's Stroke Running Shoe

Not quite what you'd expect from a Nike
Nike's typically run small.

but they were too small and I didn't like the struggle to get my foot into the opening of the shoe.

but to be fair I've only worn them a few days thus far and they could perhaps expand a bit more width-wise.

The tongue is fixed and there isn't any stretch to the back of the shoe.

I had to loosen up all of the shoe laces and even then it was challenging to get the shoe to pull up over my heel.

If you have a wide foot you will have trouble getting these on and off and possibly face an uncomfortable wear.

however, they're not so great for standing long periods and they don't run as wide as you might think.

The laces make very little difference in expanding the opening for the foot to fit in and you may very well find yourself wedging your foot in (with a shim).

I was so confident in the size, I threw the box out the week before I tried them on.

On the plus side, they seem and feel very well constructed and  with high quality material and the colors are just as beautifully vibrant as you might think.

Too narrow
These shoes were too narrow for me.

I could not fit the Peregrine 11 or 12 because they were too narrow.

I tried the VJ Spark, they were also way too narrow.

Must say that the tongue did irritate the spot right by my ankle bone a bit even with socks and that might take some getting used to, and the only reason I rated you a 4 not a 5.

My only negative on these are they run small, and they don't have the cushion of an Olympus or Endorphin,

but the heel cap is very low I was feeling my heel coming out on every step and I exchange for half size down and again same issue.

Out of Box Ready
I really love these shoes.

Best grip on the planet
My Go to shoes when it comes to OCR and Trail running..

but I will say the upper is pretty solid.
