Rocky Men's 10 Inch Paraboot 2095 Work Boot

but my foot can't get through the ankle hole even when it's unzipped.

My biggest complaint is the zipper catches on the inside lining EVERY time I zip them up which is more annoying than just tying the laces at that point.

Also, the zipper itself is smaller and thinner than the old pair.

Other reviewers are right, they are tight getting on and getting them back off (I have the insulated boots), and the zippers are a little "sticky".

but the inside of the left shoe wasn't glued on properly which I would not have minded that much if it only had been the fabric but it made it unwearable due to everything on top of the foot not being glued.

The boots arrived about 30 minutes ago.

I'll make it a point to wear these boots as much/often as possible, will make them my daily drivers, and I'm betting they will be as good as old in no time.

Purchased this boot as part of a cosplay outfit and I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the boots are.

Both are true to size and extremely comfortable and light.

The tongue of these boots is much squeakier than my old pair that were not waterproof.

Let's get this out of the way from the top: Doc Marten boots are actually NOT good boots!

They use really low quality leather and the soles are heat bonded to the boot.

Give it time and love
My heart sank when I first tried these on, these shoes are expensive and I have probably spent more on this pair of boots alone than I have on all the shoes I currently wear.

The stitching across the top of the foot, the instep, where the tongue meets the "boot" portion  IS VERY tight and probably can't be stretched due to the stitching.

There is also a small flap of leather that extends from the stitching inside of the boot, which WILL curl when you put your foot in, and feel like you have a pencil across the top of your foot.

This is what made these boots unbearable to wear for more than 5 minutes.

I used Mink Oil paste, and rubbed it all over the outside of the boot, concentrating on that seam. WARNING.

Pulling my sock tight (upwards) on my foot after having the boot on, also caused the leather to unroll back into the correct direction, laying flat on my instep.

At first these shoes didn’t feel right and I thought that I was gonna have to return them

but that flap was exposed leather so I could get oil on it.

After I took them off, I felt inside and found that the softened leather of that flap had become a bit more rigid,

Pretty horrible design putting that tight seam with extra leather across the tightest part of the boot, that can't stretch due to it being stitched, which tries to curl when you put your foot in.

Even after the oiling and first wear I was still skeptical,

The only problem I found was in the sizing I found it difficult to pick the right size, it gave me women and men sizes, I found it confusing.

but I had to let my son try them on because of the sizing problem.

When I put them on, they felt WAY too tight across the instep, and I figured this "unisex" sizing was not right for a size 9 "D" width in Mens.

I don't think this would have fixed that problem, unless I had flattened out that seam from the inside.

but once they broken in, they are amazing! !

Break in is fast, and if you use some mink oil they will soften up even faster.

The mink oil will soften the leather and make the breaking in process quicker.

these are great and comfortable and offer better protection than the usual sport/work shoe.

Over time it worked, now they are super comfy and much more flexible.

I had high hopes for this boot.

3) Contrary to the description, the boot didn't have a sock liner.

It was impossible to get my foot out without leaving the sock behind.

Still, the boots were way too narrow for my foot.

I got these for my boyfriend and absolutely loved them!

but as they soften I think they will be very comfortable.

With its sock liner, padding, ankle support, stiff mid-sole, protective toe box and zippered air vent, it was worth the extra money.

These boots run wide which is great if you, like me have wide feet.

The HD boots always fit good and feel good too, you can walk around for a while without them making your feet hurt- I wear them at work for a full 8 hours.

He had gotten a pair as a kid that were worn down so he couldn’t wear these anymore, which led us to search for years and we finally found them here on amazon of course 🤣 I recommend buying these if you want some nice leather boots that’ll last a long time.

but my initial impressions are they look like decent boots.

They are very light compared to the steel toe boots I am used to wearing.

The toe fits the shifter on my Dyna as well as my ducatis- this is not something I find on other brands.

I think they will be comfortable to wear when walking around when off the bike.
