Not sure about quality I had to return them, these were the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever tried on.. not even worth ten dollars, the fit is super narrow , my feet are not wide

but these are made for thin and flat feet I suppose, even though I purchased a size up still the top where the laces are was super tight and uncomfortable.

These shoes do not have a giant drop-off, otherwise know as arch support, that hits my foot in the wrong place and is very painful.

They don’t stand up to fires or hiking.

And the bottom of them chunked off in 3 months with minimal hiking.

After spending fourteen days hiking in the mountains of Idaho on the Pioneer fire, their love quickly faded.

Overall:  I would not recommend this boot to anyone who is on a fire crew or spends lots of time hiking around in rugged terrain.

Spent the first week in these boots on a strike team in Fresno with NO break in and my feet felt amazing at the end of 24 hour shifts.

Wearing the mountaineering boot, I have found that my knees, back, and hips do not hurt as bad after a tough fire assignment.

I bought a pair of Scarpa Fuego boots; they quickly became my number 1 boots.

Initial size up:  The boot looks good, fits true to size, they are light weight, and very comfortable.

Also, the boots heal and the balls of the foot are on the same plane.

Others crewmembers on my crew, loved the boots at first.

Ordering another pair cuz I haven't found anything else better.

For these, I ordered a 8D and they fit perfect.

but I have worn these all day long on prescribed fires some of them pushing through some heavy brush, and these boots haven't even offered me a hot spot.

With the addition of the insoles, I'm glad that I went on the bigger side of what I can wear.
