When they arrived I discovered they seem to be a typical size 3 shoe, a bit too big for my wide footed 7 year old and just about right for my 10 year old.

The shoes are much larger, I would say at least 2 sizes bigger than the shoes my grandson is wearing that are a size 7 toddler.

I found a small issue where the laces were tucked inside the shoe before the glue was entirely dry and caused one lace to secure to the bottom of the shoe inside.

Not a big deal and pulled free leaving a small bit of glued residue on the end of the lace

I’d say size down two sizes if you’re going to get these!

I put these shoes (a size 9) up to a size 10 sneaker we had on had, and these were clearly bigger.

I think we could have run at least 2 sizes smaller for the right fit.

but I ordered a toddler size 8 and it’s easily 2 sizes too big (see image for reference).

Sizing is incorrect
I ordered the blue shoes in a toddler 7.

It’ll take a year before my toddler can try it out due to sizing being so far off.

Inside the shoe feels soft, very comfortable and of course it has the breathable mesh on the sides that is a nice touch.

These handsome little boat shoes are great quality and I appreciate that they are easy to wipe clean.

These are really nicely made shoes and feel very much like Sperrys which we’ve had in the past.

but we have worn them a couple times for quick trips when the kids main pairs were hiding, and they seem like good comfortable shoes.

They are super quick and easy to slip into and are comfortable on.

The sole is like a tennis shoe and appears to be very comfortable and sturdy.

The rubber is well stitched and bonded to the leather upper.

I have been wearing Sperry boat shoes for over 50 years.

They are stylish and differ from the conventional Sperry boat shoes and moccasins.

Super Comfortable
These shoes are super comfortable, perfect for wearing with or without socks in the summer time.

I wear them regularly/almost daily and haven't had any issues with the sewing coming undone or fraying too badly.

but narrow
I bought these boat shoes in size 12, and unfortunately, they do not fit true to size.

Despite ordering my regular size, they felt a bit too snug, specifically narrow, making them uncomfortable for extended wear.

He did mention that they run a little on the bigger size, so go down a half size or so if you're questioning.

They are by no means premium, they are not real leather, and they aren't the nicest ones he owns.

While these look to be leather, they are not.

To the seller's credit, they never claim they are leather, to their discredit, they never say the uppers are man made.

The next thing is that the insole, while foamy, is not cushy and has no arch support.

There are no arch supports and very little cushioning inside.

but there are several sections of mesh nrar the soles that allow them to be breathable.

I also love how they keep referring to them as breathable because of the cotton fabric lining.

Lightweight and Comfortable
These BRECAVE Mens Boat Shoes are lightweight and comfortable on, according to my husband.

He loves a good pair of boat shoes and these are of average/decent quality.

Overall, we are pleased with these boat shoes and would recommend for anyone looking for a budget friendly, occasional use pair of shoes.

These were worth it, I was looking for a breathable outdoor shoe for hiking/camping/fishing this summer.

.the mesh material is very breathable so your foot won’t sit in a swamp all day if they get wet.

If you use them as walking around shoes or as actual boat shoes and your feet swell-like some peoples do in the summer and after being on them all day fishing-the mesh has nice give and you won’t end your day being able to see the outline of your shoe on your skin.

I bought these for my husband to shovel snow after abnormally heavy snowfall threatened to collapse the roofs in Tahoe.

My husband worked for several hours in the snow and confessed that they only worked for about half the time he was in the snow(several hours).

Confusing designation
I thought by ordering a "9.5 2E" I would receive a 9.5EE width.

Not as much cushioning as I expected on the insole.

Not much arch support, I will have to buy insoles.

I am returning for exchange due to material not being stitched completely.

They are breathable, dry quickly when they become wet, and the 3-eye design with the top-row of eyelets being the speed-lace type are very quick to lace up.

While they're marketed as a boat shoe, I find them so comfortable that they've quickly become my every-day casual shoe.
