After just 60 or so miles, I'm already seeing some concerning wear on the outsole lugs and upper fabric.

Since I no longer run, just walk 15-20 miles a week, I am rather disappointed at the Ghosts wearing out around 300 miles.

The only drawback is a hard spot on the upper that covers the big toe on each side, this causes rubbing and blisters to develop unless I'm wearing extra thick socks.

For my feet, the fit runs half a size too small.

Almost too small, no need to pull snug the shoe strings near the tie,

Recommend going 1/2 size bigger than your running shoe size.

My main complaints are with the upper mesh material and overall fit.

Favorite Platform For Many Years
My first pair of Brooks Cascadia were the 9 and I have purchased the models that followed since those.

but snugged at the forefront
I've had great success with Brooks shoes.

Really comfortable
More than enough of room in the toe box, unless you need to replace the standard insert with a special insert like I do,

but still more toe box room than Nike or adidas.

Sturdy Shoe
Sturdy shoes that I've put to the test in trail running.

The shoes are stable, have a solid rock plate,, are grippy, provide toe protection, and are typically durable.

They seem to be durable and are holding up well with 200+ miles on the trail.

Anyone looking for a platform that is low to the ground, solid rock protection, and durable should give this shows a try.

More narrow than I expected so ordered mens after this pair.

The soles were not wider than the shoe all around.

But the soles are a litle wider than the shoe which I don't really like and the laces are oval shaped and very stretchy.

Narrower fit (from the foot shape to the body of shoe) compared to the Lone Peak which I had been using before.

I’m hoping this gets better with wear as adjustments to the lacing hasn’t helped.

The only other complaint I have are the shoe laces are a longer then they've been in the previous pair and stretchy.

I don't like the stretchiness at all and the fact that the laces twist because of the stretching.

Unfortunately, the tongue is stiff where it meets my ankle causing pain and red marks due to digging in to the skin.

Lightweight, comfy
After years of wearing Brooks Ghost and Glycerine, I've switched to Altras because I realized that I need a flat shoe, instead of a heel drop.

I'm already finding that my lower back pain is WAY better after 3 miles in these versus my Brooks, so I'm sold.

Comfortable toe box
This is my 2nd pair of Altra shoes.

I find that the toe box on the 6 is roomy and comfortable along with most of the shoe.

The wider toe box is proving to be incredibly comfortable and wearing it, it doesn't look too bulky.

I liked that they were very soft and comfortable to walk in and there was room in the toe box.

but sturdy and feel very comfy and supportive.

I am ordering mens instead from now on as they tend to be so much more comfortable and gives me the bigger toe bed and width I need and I never have to order wide.

Be aware that the oval laces are very stretchy - not like the flat ones of earlier lines
Of the Altra shoes, I like the Torin line best - especially the first ones I bought - W Torin 4.5 Plush (dark gray with light blue soles and laces).

And the part that really surprises me is the sole wear, I have put MAYBE 20 miles on these shoes and I have nearly worn through the rubber under the forefoot.

but after wearing these altras with the wide toe boxes we had to toss his old shoes.

My only complaint is after only 4 months of wear (average 14 hours a week), both uppers have started failing on the outside of the foot. However!!

heel

The only problem I had with it was the lack of heel support.

The heel was too cushy which threw the balance of my forefoot off.

Just needs a touch more heel stability and then it would be perfect!

Has been over one month and around 200 miles and I'm starting to worry about some interior rubs on the heel.

After one run I had really bad pain up my right heal.

When they fold over, oh my goodness they hurt me so much.

Aesthetically, the red coloring on the side is easy to scuff off, I just used a paint pen to “blend it”, it’s pretty obvious in my photo.

My pink toe and my son as well would rub a hole in the mesh of Nikes, and Brooks shoes.

If your feet are too wide, or your socks are thick or grippy, be mindful that these elastic supports can fold over.

My son wouldn’t wear us old Brooks running shoes after wearing these for a few weeks.

Product: Altra M Torin 6 (Gray/Red) Pro: wide toe box and zero drop shoes are amazing.

They offer cushion and have a super wide toe box so your toes are not squished.

I buy these shoes for work (retail, part time, hard hard floors). I love the cushion (cushy!)

I will buy these shoes again because, let's be real, any shoe I've ever bought lasts at most 6 months.
