Brooks Women’s Cascadia 15 GTX Running Shoe

Laces come undone while running
I use these shoes for running in the winter, if there is snow, ice, or slush.

My issue is that the laces which came with them dont stay tied, and I have to stop and re-tie them several times each run.

Returned because it was too stiff and hard
Purchased the 15 GTX to replace my 14 GTX which I'd give 4 stars.

The 15's just felt to stiff and hard on my feet.

I ordered a size 9.5, i'm usually a 9 and these are little narrow and tight in the forefoot even half a size bigger than usual so bear that in mind.

The only drawback for this purchase was the difficulty finding my size using the Amazon Website.

Why didn't the seller just picture the shoe once and then add all the available sizes to that URL?

These are the first trail shoes I have had from Brooks,


Je cours l’été avec des Brooks Ghost et je porte des 6 et suis très confortable.

These are trail running shoes so the soles are quite firm in order to protect the feet when running over rough ground - Brooks do their Ghost range with goretex for those who don’t need this extra protection.

Use for lite hiking, more comfortable than regular hiking shoes, and great for winter golfing, good traction.

They give my feet extra support as I need that for my high arch and narrow foot size.

but for running in wet conditions my feet remained wonderful dry and comfy!

Merrell Women's Moab Flight Hiking Shoe

Weird fit, insoles disintegrated within one month of use
I bought these for going to Glacier and Hawaii to take to the trails.

Unfortunately the insoles literally disintegrated after getting wet a couple times.


Not for me, I found theses Merrell Moab Flight Women's shoes too floppy and not a great fit for me.

Additionally the arch support fits weirdly, not supporting my foot arch.

but it has a rather wide platform and you lose proprioception (feel, touch) from all the cushioning.

I will say that I also purchased the Brooks Cascade shoes so that I would have a pair to alternate with on my trips and they have held up nicely.

went on a backpacking trip with a pair of OBOZ boots & a pair of the Merrell Moab Flight.Alot of rain & switched from the boot to the trail runner & they worked perfectly.

This shoe is very comfortable and cushiony
