This runs small, not large.

I previously had a pair of the 8" side zip composite toe and ordered the same size, they did not fit and were painfully small.

Buy the same size as your gym shoe or even a half size larger.

In other words They didn’t fit at all so I had to return them.

These are the reinforced kevlar toes and I did bump the toe-guard a couple times walking around as I broke them in.

They look professional and my 50+ year old feet comfortably.

I install the orthotic inserts from those in these boots which are much better and wear better while providing superior ankle support Bates also makes a taller boot that is identical other than height The removable insoles make this possible.

I like these because when I tie them tight enough, they support my ankles.

The VA provides diabetic shoes for me.

I often walk on moderately difficult terrain and these boots have held up very well.

After receiving the order I could not observe any manufacturer flaws in either boot, both looked brand new with no marks or scratches at all.

He loves wearing them instead of wearing winter boots to school.

He says they’re easier to drive in and still be comfortable in the classroom.

He can wear them daily and still be comfortable.

Was abit small, slightly uncomfortable, after wearing out then know the problem.

Three weeks after return date, shoe is still too small.

but it’s not comfortable, it runs too small and the upper tongue part is very poorly designed IMHO, it’s  thick so you will sweat a lot, and also part where it attaches to actual shoe it’s gonna be very uncomfortable bulge against your foot

I usually wear a size 10US-11US size shoe, ordered a 10.5 and they run a little snug.

Based on this, you might want to consider at least a half-size up from your usual N.A. size.

I kept the shoe past the return date, believing an 11.5 should fit perfectly based on the feel of the 11 and the fit of my other brand shoes.

Soooo comfortable, I wear these to work in my office job where I do about 12,000 steps a day.

Great in the snow, and ankle support is awesome.

My feet are always warm and dry and they were true to size.


Great boots, now i want to buy a sailboat to go with the non marking sole.

The new thin rubber base is free floating and not glued to any other layers.

but they feel more flexible because of the thin base.

I did not like the size were too big for me

but every time I put them on my feet, the left shoe fits while the right shoe feels a size too big.

I do have one dislike about them: I check every morning before I put them on my feet to see if they are both still marked as the same size.

I wore these and broke them in relatively quickly.

They are not comfortable for standing over long periods of time.

I see that the outer sole is a bit clunky.

The inner soles are somewhat hard if you stand on your feet all day.

I will likely just go buy some different insoles should the need arise again.

Work about 11 to 13 hour days for the post office and can say saves my legs and knees big time

The insole provides a soft walk and supports ankles.

Too big
I wear size 11 in danner boots and Thorogood boots nike rebook etc  normal wodth these are huge Didnt realize this were for duck feet I put them on and wore them to work as they arrived an hour before work i decided to break in while on duty so cant return these boots made for duck feet Heel is to wide and so is rest of boot and they are too long.

but it was way too narrow and I've never been told I have a wide foot.

So I sent those back and I bought a 10 wide and to my dismay they were an inch and a half too long

Update: I bought a 9.5 wide and it's was like an XX-wide so I bought a 9.5 regular and it fit like a 8.0.

If you're reading this definitely order one size down if your normal boot size in 511's, Bates Danners or the like is an 11.

I ordered another 10 and it fits like a 10.5. it came scuffed up not sure if I'll keep it or not.

I would highly recommend changing out the insoles they are terrible and not one of the pairs I bought had the same inserts!

I just don't understand how the sizes can be so far off!

These were very comfortable and the vibram sole is the best in the business!

These boots tighten up fast the speed eyelets are great, if you pull them tight the ankle support is fabulous with this boot.

Nice boots last you a long time and abuse.

While the boots look great they only lasted 5 days 5 days of wearing them and the Soul came off the way they're designed is very piss poor if you ask me excuse my language they sued the soul to the bottom of the boot and then glued the tread on to the bottom of it the whole tread came off the boot it was funny I was told I cannot return it tried super gluing its back together that way I can at least have the $1 39 worth of you so I paid for

The waterproofing has never been breached and the leather quality usually gets several positive comments from folks, at least in the first few months since this work is hard in footwear.

but high is a good thing since the leather stretches to the foot shape after a few days providing a custom-ish fit.
