The plastic that the shoe laces go through  was so thin that the (too) thin shoelaces cut right through the plastic.

The manufacturer needs to have better reinforced shoelace holes and/or thicker shoe laces.

Unless you are very gentle or use a thicker shoelace or both, it will VERY  likely happen to you too.

However, because there are not big enough holes on the sole, the sand gets trapped in there even after removing the insoles and rinsing under strong water hose.

I even tested it briefly on a patch of rocky gravel (which I don't recommend as there is not enough cushion to protect the forefoot), On grass, beach sand,  light trails with lots of twigs and pinecones, these shoes connected me to running in a new way that surprised me.

They had actually sent me a (Euro size) 45 which If converted to US standards it was actually a size 11.5 I returned these shoes and ordered a replacement pair in the next size up (size 13) and they fit me great just like the previous 2 pairs I purchased.

I have decided to be very gentle with them rather than returning them.

But it would require me to run on pavement for a half mile which I don't think is good for my feet.

The most comfortable shoes
I bought these shoes at the beginning of the summer and they have become my daily drivers as far as footwear goes.

I highly recommend these if you want to have cool feet in the summer and want to wear something other than boring sandals during the warm months.

Both pair fit me great, were well made and I didnt have any issues at all, The fit was great and they were very comfortable for me.

but when the boat heels over, there is no sidewall structure, so your foot literally slides sideways in the shoe, distorting the sole and the shoe's grip on the deck..  My feet literally come right out of the shoes sometimes..

but obviously hard without the soft soles.

even though they are “water” shoes the soles still retain a fair amount of water and thus can smell quickly if you are in dirtier water.

If they get wet, they do not dry quickly

but retains a little more water than it should.

I use them for sailing, and the grip is very, very good, and the sidewalls offer plenty of support to keep your foot from sliding sideways (inside the shoe itself) while the boat heels over.

The fit was incorrect by one size, the front was to narrow and the quality upper shoe quality was lacking.

Now got what it is - this site is a fantastic lightweight and very breathable shoe for most of your outdoors needs.

The shoes have me the traction I needed on concrete, sand, grass, dirt and gravel while not being too heavy and very breathable so my feet didn't sweat like crazy.

I have had at least a dozen pair of Columbia boots and all have been great,

but these are way to small for the size they advertised.

I got an 11.5 Wide and while the length is fine it is much more narrow than the other "not wide" Columbia boots.

A 10 is definitely too big for me in the toe box area, which is why I said they were a little loose.

The main reason that I am giving this a 3 stars is due to the fact that the left shoe is already coming apart at the seam on the inside, near the toe box.

I’ve wore these twice now.

Every step was dice roll - slip and get wet, slip and break your ankle or successfully inch 12 inches further.
