I did buy insoles since there’s not much cushion.

There was an odd ridge in the middle of the sole pressing on the bottom of my foot in an awkward place, and my toes were being squeezed inwards uncomfortably.

The only downfall is the sole is a little slick in wet weather.

There was also an odd odor when the plastic wrapping was taken off, perhaps from the ethylene vinyl acetate used to make the sole.

To me, it's more of a comfortable, casual shoe to wear with a pair of jeans or walking shorts.

Instead, they're a casual, comfortable slip-on shoe, comfortable straight out of the packaging and for all day wear.

I ordered these slip-on sneakers for my husband.

They're so soft, comfy and lightweight that my husband said they felt like he was wearing slippers with support.

But on a second wearing, the material had stretched enough that my toes no longer felt squished together, and on a third wearing,  the hump in the insole had started to flatten out and conform to my foot.

My son got them to wear to the gym and they are perfect for that.

These shoes are easy to keep clean and generally durable (if not used for exercise) -- another pair I've had for a year now, wearing them occasionally.

But the strap across my foot doesn’t work as my one foot gets swollen all the time from an old injury.

As you can see in the pictures the middle strap is tight and not adjustable at all.

They are wider and the front and narror at the back, meaning the have a more of a foot shape for easy of wear and extra comfort.

These come a size small so order about .5 up

Vivobarefoot, if you don't have the stock, which is evident by the lack of shoe sizes available for EVERY STYLE (especially size 12) do not advertise that you do and allow me the consumer (and potential vivobarefoot fan boy) to place the order and then be let down when you fail to me your delivery service level objective.

The insoles don't even lay flat in the shoe
The insoles bend up in the middle and don't even fit the shoe.

but the shoe it self, is shaped like a V and was tight enough with thin athletic socks on to force a return.
