The area near the inner zipper rubs on the upper ankle which caused me to get sores.

Even tightening the laces as much as I could still left them loose.

The top eylets or speedlace receptacles, are angle upward so the lace will not sit evenly in it.

If you leave the laces loose, they unhook themselves from the eyelets very easily, again due to the bad angle.

This does two things, it forces the eyelet to roll over and this caused the inside rivet that attaches the eyelets angle inward, into your lower leg/upper ankle, causing pain all day.

From working in rough terrain or casual wear these boots are outstanding!

Each and every day these boots have carried me and supported me without question or failure over gravel and piles of metal and heavy machinery.

(I do treat my boots with oils)  They have NEVER leaked, or taken on water of any kind, even when I'm standing 6 inches deep in a puddle.

However, my experience with these boots has been far from satisfactory.

Additionally, the boots feel tight around the toe area, causing discomfort and restricting natural foot movement.

The lack of proper ankle support further exacerbates this issue, making the boots less suitable for activities that require a higher level of stability.

The boots lack proper cushioning and arch support, making them uncomfortable for extended periods of wear.

Even after attempting to break them in, the fit remained constricting and uncomfortable.

Boots I got would appear long and (IMO) 43 vs 42 size.

The top fabric of the boot started cracking only a month after I got them.

This boot is fabulous and so comfortable well made and has every detail to perfection .

I am a 10-10.5 normally and I ordered these in size 10, they are perfect.

Good fit for me, after trying two other brands/sizes.

The box was different than that of my original pair, and the sizing and color are both notably different.

The sizing is a bit longer, and the cut is all around different so that it has similarities, unfortunately, to the brown pair detailed below.

It would be great if Wolky had consistent sizing within a style or a line.

but unfortunately, they aggravated my plantar fasciitis so I had to return them.

Or just assume I may need to return them and calculate that into costs?

I'd also love to see these shoes come pre-sprayed with an initial waterproofing given how easily nubuck is damaged, include an extra pair of insoles in these lines that have their thinnest insole style and that are meant to have a highly adjustable instep, and come in darker reds like cranberry or maroon.

There was one area of discomfort on a seam,

but it stretched in just a minute or two when I placed my forefoot with a thicker sock into the shoe and held it there.

I think part of the issue seems to be that the nubuck of the brown is apparently thicker or less stretchy?

Really nice supportive, sturdy boots,

but they look narrower than they actually fit - and they are truly comfortable!

They fit with room in the toe box to wiggle my toes and wide enough for both feet

The Cactus in 38 is a perfect fit with a thin Spenco Arch Rx Cushion for insert.

But this ended up working out well, as I was able to place the Wolky insoles from the cactus pair inside the ochre to double the insole up.

And the doubled up insoles feel absolutely *amazing* for support, cushion and breathability.
