Without the shoelaces the shoe still hugs his feet well.

It doesn't feel tight around his ankles like other highttop cleeks with shoelaces tied to tight around the ankle.

Capezio Women's Flex Master Tap Shoe

Unfortunately, the rubber sole started to come away from the shoe after just a couple of wears.

There's no padding in the foot bed with very little padding in the heel,  They are too small to add any inserts for extra padding.

The shoes come with a blue poron (high density foam) inner sole, which for some odd reason runs from the rear of the shoe through the arch,

This is a mystery to me - I think tap dancers, like me, spend more time on the ball of the foot than the heel, so why the padding doesn't extend there is baffling.

The inner sole does crack over time (8-10 months) from going up on toes and pointing,

but it doesn't make the shoe uncomfortable.I can see that having the inner sole cover the entire shoe bed would mean more cracking, but surely they could have separate pad at the ball of the foot, and keep a heel pad if needed.

In fact, too soft and flexible for me because I could feel the edge of the heel transfer through to the insole.

The flex sole is stiffer out of the box than the Capezio.

but my daughter always wears a 3 M and these 4 W were way too small.

I wore these shoes for a tap class within an hour of receiving them.

The second time I wore them, the ball of my left foot and left heel became fatigued and ached.

The shoe sizes street shoe to slightly small - I'm a 6 1/2 or 7, and the 6 1/2 fits me; I wear a 7 1/2 Bloch dance sneaker.

but one shoe stretched out too much due to a foot brace I wore for much of last year.

Now that I'm not wearing it, I can't tighten the shoe enough.

For my purposes, the heel is somewhat of a bummer.

This shoe at least doesn't have a leather wrapped heel, which looks ratty after about a week in my case (sorry Bloch).

- The heel is rather long and extends forward almost to the arch.

I like the the way it hugs my feet in place.

They were comfortable for the 1 1/2 hour class.

but not have the discomfort of wearing Irish hard shoes for hours a day.

Bloch Tap-Flex: - Shaped more like an Oxford, wider at the ball and tapering toward the toes - Soft leather upper.

My absolute favorite shoe by Leo's, since discontinued, had a solid, high-density plastic heel, and it was great.


For a beginner with wide feet, these shoes are perfect for me.

I've tried so many other pairs of side zip waterproof boots that cost double what these cost, fall apart in 6 months and are not comfortable at all.

Well except the Velcro that holds the flap over the zipper pull.

I have the top boot pretty loose and still the zip up flap on inside of the boot pushes into my leg so hard after 1 night use I still have pain and bruising a week latee.

but it literally looks like I don't even have it tied up it's so loose it looks unprofessional and shabby.

These are cheap, well made and super comfortable.

They hug your feet with a nice cushion and are extremely comfortable.

The footbed is comfortable and I have plantar fasciitis and it did not flare up when wearing these boots so that is a good thing.
