Poor insole
Negative:  Like one of the viewers mentioned below the cushion insole is only lined half way to the toes so when you walk, you literally feel you toes land on a wooden floor or hardwood.

Walking in these for hours aren't comfortable at all.

Dont think it will last long as my sperrys due to spungy like foam in the bottom.

My issue here is that the description for the black shoes on line says “leather.” However the top and much of the shoe is either black nubuck or something similar.

My issuer here is that the description should have been better.

The top of the boot was rubbing the tops of my feet so I had to return them.

In fact I have one item that must be returned the same day delivered.

This said I am going to return this pair for a different style, still Cole Haan though!

I got them from the Cole Haan website and they definitely fit true to my normal 7.5.

There are enough choices to find what works best for you.

I have plenty of room here to wiggle my toes and/or wear an average sock if I chose to.

but instead of a Cole Haan box, they arrived in a plain brown box (that was too large for the shoes), and contained no stuffing, paper, stretchers, etc.

A note was attached that said the original box had been damaged in shipping.

I didn't like that I was paying $100 for a pair of shoes and wasn't getting the original manufacturer's box, so I ordered a second pair - and received another plain brown box with the same explanation.

but I think Amazon should either investigate the lack of original boxes or offer a better repackaging solution if the original boxes were actually damaged in shipping.

While on the Cole Haan website, I noticed that they were offering the shoes at a price which was more than 33% less than what Amazon was charging - and free shipping and a one-time first-purchase discount.

The savings were so great I was able to get 2 pair for just slightly more than than the cost of one pair on Amazon - and I got the original Cole Haan boxes.

I mostly find fair prices, good packaging and, of course, excellent delivery, return and customer service options.

Fit is true to size (size 7, medium width).

Thick cotton lace on thin holes with an awful lacing?

I shouldn't need to spend a minute or two loosening lace to put my foot in what is otherwise a fine shoe.

I shouldn't need to spend another minute to tighten the lace.

Even if you keep the default lacing pattern it'll break in a few months.

but the shoe was slightly big for my foot and when I tied the shoe tight there was excess material that crunched up.

Treating this shoe first with a vigorous application of saddle soap followed by multiple applications of mink oil with heat make these shoes darken up and lose a bit of their plastic luster.

The leather has an almost plastic like shine to it, and the chemical smell is quite significant.

I ordered size 10 maybe 9.5 would have been better because I have a constant inside heel squeak (so annoying that I have to walk on my toes) when I walk which has nothing to do with the outside surfaces -they are not breathable and my feet sweat a lot.
