However - the whole ankle section of the boot is simply a piece of semi floppy leather.

I dinged them a star because there is no liner in the shaft, and the leather is thin.

Keep in mind that these are a $100 boot, so don't expect great leather.

If you work around heavy metal, I would think something like the Pit Boss would be a better boot at this price point, with thicker leather, and more padding.

Only down side is that the soles are little soft and tend to wear down quickly.

On the other hand wearing a work boot for flooring while constantly kneeling and bending your toes doesn't really work either, very uncomfortable and heavy/cumbersome.

Lightweight Work Boot For Non Industrial Conditions
These boots fall in the lightweight end of the spectrum for a "work boot".

More of a "heritage" boot at a great price.

I wear the Timba Pro Pit Boss boot at work , which is why I stayed with this brand.

Bottom line, TLP Barstow boots are good at the price point.

The sole and foot bed are better than most budget boots.

I don't use the included insoles, rather, "Dr. Scholl's Work Insoles All-Day Shock Absorption and Reinforced Arch" as the base arch support and place Dr. Scholls 'Float on Air' inserts stacked on top, cut snugly to fit.

They fit like I expected, and are comfy out of the box.

I've been to the very few stores who sell boots to try on and with the exception of a few, most boots are cheap and they skimp out on the number of lace holes and other necessary components.

This is my 2nd pair of keen Cincinnati boots.

I would say these boots are comparable to higher end boots that I've owned.

though boots, so for me , just shy of a year for an actual work boot that I beat the snot out of is good.

the composite toe is very functional and also something you forget is there - unlike cheap work boots there is no sacrifice in comfort for greater protection.

I am happy as I can be with these boots, and I hope you will be too.

Rocky mens Legacy 32

Uncomfortable and heavy
I felt like I had heel spurs after wearing this for an 8 hour shift.

My other Rocky 10.5W boots fit great, I could barely get this on and it was the most painful shoe I had ever wore, even if just for a couple of steps.

I wear a size 12 in tennis shoes and sometimes they are a bit narrow.

Great Hiking Boots
Really happy with these Legacy 32 boots they fit good and were comfortable right out of the box.

Wore them hiking three times so far and they kept my feet warm and dry.

These Rocky Legacy 32s are waterproof (not insulated) and with a medium weight sock my feet were still toasty warm.
