Within 1 mile of hiking in WA on easy trails the adhesive that holds  the cushion and fabric to the bottom of the  boot failed and the components that make it comfortable started riding up the side of the shoe exposing my feet to the bare bottom of the boot.

They seemed to hurt my right foot around the ankle.

but mine had a flaw
I'm keeping these boots because I've worn them a couple of times, but today, the 3rd time I've worn them, I decided to check inside the right boot to see why no matter how loose or tight I tie the laces they hurt my ankle bone.

I already wore them in mud so I can't return.

I don't look forward to wearing these boots for long periods at work because of the discomfort.

I discovered the right boot, only the right boot, did not have padding around the area that protects the heel support plastic piece that curves around the back of the boot.

The boots are otherwise comfortable and wide enough for my very wide feet.

I love this brand because it always fits my foot well.

but I sometimes wear without socks because it’s very comfortable.

Second, the tongue slides off to the left and will not stay under the laces.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the laces.

The thin nylon string laces do not stay tight.

I will be switching these poor laces to leather as soon as I can purchase them.

First, these are narrow and not a true wide.

The last pair were regular width and took a long time to break in.

We ordered this pair in wide width and they seem to be just as narrow as the regular width boots.

I literally wore them until they fell apart.

Finally, the stitching at the bottom foot is not set into the sole; therefore, after one wearing they are all dissolved making it obsolete.

Our last pair lasted 8 months before the leather separated from the soles.

My shoe size is almost a 10.5, this boot fit perfectly.
