was looking for steel toes for work, and accidentally bought a set of polymer toe that were on sale polymer has less plasticity than steel, surprisingly.

it's also lighter and more comfortable than steel, and is non-conductive if you need that.

These have a composite safety toe that is as hard and protective as the steel version (and meets the same ANSI standard for toe protection),

strap easy

zipper makes it easy to quickly put these on and take them off.

The side zipper makes getting them off at the end of the day much easier (which is really a plus when you are tired and sweaty and hate the thought of tugging and pulling just to remove your shoes).

They go thru metal detectors without a problem, are comfortable with the wide size options, and are lightweight compared to steel toe boots.

overall i'd only get these on sale because 100 dollars isn't too bad for a set of near-perfect work boots.

By far the best boot I have ever put on my feet - in terms of comfort.

But I do have a waterproof model of Bates boots which have been flawless,

however the boots last me 2-3 years easily.

As long as my employer continues to reimburse for work boots I will continue to buy this exact model and size of boot until the day I die or Bates stops selling them.

Outstanding professional-grade safety-toe tactical boots
I doubt if there is an officer in any of the military services who does not know the name Bates for shoes.

I also got to know them for their outstanding desert boots.

Well, I have to tell you I am still wearing those desert boots - they stood up to everything that Afghanistan could throw at them, and are still quite serviceable.

Because of this experience with Bates boots, I did not hesitate when I needed a set of tactical boots for my civilian job.

I wear these in an office environment, and from out of my khaki pants or jeans, they look professional enough that I've never been challenged over them.

Have been wearing these for 12+ years and probably wont stop.

After five months of heavy, daily use, they show almost no noticeable wear.

All in all, of you need a great set of perfectly-fitting boots to protect your feet in hazardous environments, and intend to wear them day in and day out for long periods, this is perhaps one of the best on the market - at any price.

I spend 9-12 hours a day on my feet on concrete floors and rarely find myself uncomfortable at the end of the day.

They are so comfortable that I don't even bother to change out of them when I get off work.

Fits big for a woman wears a size 7 in men and comes in a plastic bag.

may want to go down a size unless you have wide with feet perhaps.

I ordered a 9.5 going off the size chart.

However, once I put the shoes on and laced them up to wear (as opposed to just trying the boots on with out lacing them up), I noticed the laces are not matched.

but then as I wore them more to work in the shoe strings always loosens up on their own..I have to double tie them because they strat to hurt my pinky toe from being loose and working in them.im on my feet for 8 hrs everyday..I would only recommend for temporary use not long term.

but now I'm gonna have to request a REFUND due to the fact that though SOMEWHAT comfortable the INSOLE is completely detachable.

it's a PLAUSIBLE MAYBE ON A REFUND,,,could've had a defective pair.

The inside fold for the tongue and the lace loop are poorly located.

I've tried moving the fold, shifting the tongue, not lacing that loop, and it still presses in.

Needs side zips
Only thing missing were side zips.

It presses on the inside top of your ankle bones and hurts.

It's double sewed into the leather it sticks in way past everything else on the lining.

Disappointed you cannot exchange the boot for the next size up.

Still a little bitter with the pricing and lack of ability to exchange.

My only complaint is irrelevant ;) After 1.5years of wearing them, the seam above the heal between the rubber and the boot leather, finally gave way.

Overall he said his toes feel much safer in these than the previous pair (steel toed) we bought him.

Comfortable all day long
Being a delivery driver and having tried many many loggers, which I need for the heel size because of my planter facetious.

I can say these are among the most comfortable I've ever worn.
