They aren't that great for walking in though, not much support and the top of the soles peel off after a couple of months of heavy use.

The heel support is very high and rubs against the achilles tendon when worn without socks.

Wore them to work with ankle socks and the shoe irritated my ankles so I had to run home and put on long socks.


Wear is certainly firmer than expected for a runner - after my adidas sneakers this is firm.

I just had to toss these shoes out because the walls of the heel are made of some type of plastic that degraded so quickly it has, in less than a year, crumbled and piled up behind my feet in both shoes.

However, two things that can be improved are the heel support which is too high and too hard and the toe box which is too loose.

but would have liked an X-wide fitting and this was not available so went up a 1/2 U.S. size to compensate.

but that's being fussy - this is an all round great casual shoe and quite cool (I get hot feet so I dread canvas and leather shoes) as they are well ventilated.
