If you absolutely must get these please get a size smaller because they are loose fitting and in my experience tend to come off the foot while underwater—which could be a real danger if you're using them to walk on slippery rocks.

The insoles also get loose and start to shift until they pop out of the shoe.

Velcro strap comes loose in the water on first day
Here is my test from one day of taking them to the beach.

I got two pairs of these shoes and both had problems where the velcro strap comes loose in the water and sand gets stuck in the crevices.

Once the sand is in the velcro it is nearly impossible to make it stick again.

but does not fit around the foot and ankle like the picture shows.

It's extremely difficult to wash sand out of these as there are many places sand will get trapped.

Very good for wearing opposite a lower leg boot
I bought this because of its thick sole to wear on the foot opposite a lower leg boot I am wearing for a fracture.


Love these shoes, the extra cushioning from the thick soles helps my knees get through the day!

I personally like that the sole of the heel does not protrude beyond the upper as that tends go make me catch my heel when going down stairs.

He said they are comfortable and and look good on his feet.

If that bothers you, get high quality shoes and resole and repair them  The sole is relatively soft and will wear out quickly.

My only caveat is nothing out of the ordinary for most people - I tend to buy rubber-soled shoes and these have leather soles so they're quite slippery right out of the box (exactly like all leather soled shoes).

I love the matte black look and these are super comfy.

but after painfully bearing blisters total discomfort I decided to buy these again in a 9 US and with inserts they are so comfortable out of the box I feel like I can run in them.

I wear a US women’s 10 and I ordered a women’s 10 and they fit perfectly.

Vegan made all the difference in my purchase and loved that they had a matte black pair.
