I ordered my usual size and they were totally falling off my feet.

These seem like a European size 41 rather than the 42/43 I was expecting.

but they were actually a little too small.

Interestingly, the size 7 box shows Euro size 38, which is what I normally order, so the sizing problem seems more a matter of interpretation than manufacturing anomaly.

Similar issue with Naot, whose size 7 is also a 38 Euro.

Important note: these run a Full Size to a size-and-a-half Too Large —

Because these run large (not normal for Sorel) I kept ordering down a half size until I got a pair that fit,

but the size that finally fit me arrived with a manufacturing defect on the footbed that made the shoe unwearable!

You can't wear very long without the laces digging in and hurting your ankles.

but they hurt my feet in an hour so they are going back today.

BUT for me personally, I fear will rub + cause friction if worn for a long time and hurt my feet if worn for a long period of time, therefore I can't justify keeping them,

I was bummed and returned the shoes unworn via Whole Foods

Amazon did not help me at all, and their customer service team didn’t care that I was out almost $150 for shoes I’d returned.
