but maybe it’s just the suede? They also have some imperfections on the rubber and seem to fit a bit wider in the footbed, than the ones I tried on in the store (maybe these were from an outlet seller, but still full priced?)

but ended up selling them on as I found them too heavy and too wide and big.

They are very wide and can therefore feel cumbersome.

I actually had to exchange this to a half-size up, because it is extremely narrow.

but the width on my normal 7 to 7.5 feet was almost painfully tight.

I exchanged for an 8, which still feels a bit tight width wise,

though - almost inches across, a full inch wider than the WeatherProof.

The Sorels are not as wide as expected on the inside, perhaps because of insulation.

My only issue is that when walking on pavement, rocks or anything hard, your foot feels it ALL.

That made for a bit of ache in the feet the day after a trail walk.

However, having worn them, I've found that the sides of the boot can actually hurt on my leg if I walk in them for long.

* The Sorels are lined with heavy felt through the sides and in the footbed and tend to rub a lot when you walk if you wear them with jeans.

but the laces are fiddly with cold fingers and come undone easily, one of the the poppers holding the insole in quickly stopped attaching even though I have only removed the insole a few times ( excellent design when snow gets down the boots.

* The sole of the Sorel boots is stiff and not very flexible.

The WeatherProof have a textured rubber sole that grip like nothing I've seen - running your hand across it is difficult.

I also ordered WeatherProof Women's Tori Winter Boot, BLACK (this brand is often sold at Costco) as my second pair as they looked really nice for a fraction of the price.

The WeatherProof boots were each 1 lb lighter.

The WeatherProof boot comes in two widths, both with generous gussets, and are slim looking with jeans.

For anyone who needs a heavy duty winter work boot that will last many years, the Sorels are a good pick.

In all, I was surprised the WeatherProof boots felt and looked better than the Sorel ones.

Bogs are the best
Every year I buy my 8 grandchildren their winter boots.

Otherwise look & feel great, my son seems to think they keep his fit warm & it’s -30c here!

My son goes on and on about how comfortable these boots are while he is shoveling, sledding, out in puddles, etc.. His feet have never gotten cold in them and he’s outside a lot!

Warm and dry
These fit well, they are lighter than older style bogs.

Good traction, they are very waterproof and warm with good socks on.

We live in Minnesota where winter hits hard and this is one of the few brands I trust to keep my kids warm and dry.

Lightweight and Warm
My reservation with previous Bogs boots had been the weight,

but the Neo classic is VERY lightweight and is keeping my children’s feet warm.

They have been wearing them all winter here in Alaska and even into negative temperatures there have been no complaints of cold feet or discomfort of any kind.

Lighter than the pervious version of the same boot. Recommanded.

After wearing these a few times I can feel the crunch of the snow on the soles of my feet, so I would add some extra cushion if that will bother you.

Same boot same size the problem with this set is the shoestring clip at the midway up boot has been sewed incorrectly and is tearing my top of my ankle.

Sizing: I normally wear a size 10.5, so I got an 11 since these come in whole sizes.
