Fit & comfort was not good enough for the price
Bought these for my husband over 8 mths. ago.

Bought Dr Scholl's arch support insert, removed the provided inserts and all is good.

I almost didn't put the Dr. Scholl's in as the show was very comfortable.

Also, the big  dip in the middle of the sole probably gives added support,

Quite a bit of support that works well for this old guy.

I was really impressed with these shoes because with three sets of removable insoles you can really get a great fit.

I bought toe socks as well to help spread out the toes and the shoe has plenty of toe wiggle room.

Definitely recommend the toe socks if your big toe is pushing against the second toe.

but dramatically lessens the discomfort caused by normal socks and too tight shoes squeezing all the toes together.

I like the injinji trail midweight as a work sock combined with a wide Drew shoe.

I got a pair of these for my father-in-law 2 years ago after watching him limp around.

I have narrow feet and have always had trouble shoes that truly fit.

Shoe is wide and stable with a pleasant rocker to it.

The pain was so severe & sustained that my hair started to fall out in clumps, (it's now August & it's growing back), and my glucose levels were difficult to control.

With ordinary shoes, the strike-off from the heel is somewhat slow allowing for the sciatic nerve to be bombarded with energy that dissipates into your back muscles causing all that pain.

On the Right Sandal the middle straps do not fit snugly to the top of my foot, 1/8 of an inch too loose,  The  Left Sandal's straps fit better.

The Foot Bed if squishy, and supportive; I have never worn a Dr. Scholl's shoe before.

These are very comfortable with the right amount of arch support.

These sandals are supportive so walking and standing for long periods of time do not pose a problem.

I think I need to go back up 1/2 size and just figure out the sizing.

My foot feels snug, the heel doesn't slip and I enjoy a little extra softness in the shoe.

I bought heel inserts and now the shoe fits and is so comfortable.

They are comfortable,very cute,soft leather.

I have tried wearing them around the house and they are super comfy.

This shoe fits my foot beautifully with just a little foam foot pad.

Once I replaced them, they fit perfectly and are my new favorite work shoes.

The only problem with this company is their sizing is not consistent.

The short version is, Hey Dude’s sizing is not consistent between different models / styles.

I ordered a 13 because other models fit, and had to return for a 12 in this model.

Originally, I ordered a size 12 because that is the size of Hey Dude’s “Wally” shoe that fit me and  in the Cody it was too big.

To reduce any confusion, lengths are all going to be expressed in 1/16th inch increments rather than simplified (mm are also provided) and measurements are taken at the longest/widest point to point, only the very back of the forefoot section as wide as listed, it tapers tighter quite quickly.

I also personally pull the cork arch piece off of those insoles, that part is a little too uncomfortable for me.

Add in all the extra material crammed into the forefoot just behind the toe box where the tongue and eyelet bars meet up and are stitched and it's quite tight.

I recommend the Dr Scholl's eco friendly cushioning insoles, they're (relatively) cheap and comfortable despite being really thin, they also actually available in size 14.

I require special insoles because of my high arches and heal pain and they fit in the shoe perfectly.

Seams on the tongue of one boot split and frayed in several places.

After extended kneeling the stitches busted on the top of the boot, so I used shoe goo to repair that.


Considering these shoes were supposed to be an extra wide, they are tight and will need a lot of breaking in, also for something that was sold as new it had small scuff marks on the toe area of the right shoe.

Most alarming tho was the soles of both seperating from the leather;  it’s as if they used water soluble glue.

the wierd little toe pad started peeling away from the boot after a few months so I just cut it off.

It doesn't matter how much I spend on shoes, boots, etc., they always hurt.

The width may not be as wide as advertised.

I have a "WIDE" foot, these don't feel like "EXTRA WIDE" as advertised.


I have trouble believing these are really size 10 and it is IMPOSSIBLE they are extra wide.

The ankle and tongue are heavily padded, the laces stay tied, and the arches provide enough support so I don't need Dr Scholl's inserts.

I have not added any insoles (usually the first thing I need to do when I get a new pair of footwear), and they are just as comfortable today as they were on the first day.

I was surprised at how light and comfortable these were!

He told me that he received Bates boots while on the ground in Iraq and that they were the best he had ever worn - comfortable, lighweight and sturdy.

So I ordered these, and much to my surprise they fit and felt comfortable.

The synthetic PU leather is very supple, hence the shoes are so comfortable right out of the box.

I bought these based on a discussion with a friend that had been in the US Army.

When these boots die next year, I'll probably get a 3rd pair.

These boots looked like they would provide much better protection than tennis or walking shoes and I didn't want a pair of clod-hopper leather Frankenstein boots that weigh as much as cinder blocks.

Bottom line,,, so far these boots are great.

I was looking for a boot that would keep my feet cool in the California and Texas summer - these will do it.

I like these boots so much that I'll order a second set - because I've learned that it'll be hard to find a similar pair when the first ones finally wear out.

I have had them for a little over a month and have worn them every day.

The wide size fits great, I normally wear a 9.5 4e new balance sneaker, I got these in 10 extra wide.

I take a 9.5E, and these don''t squeeze my feet, even with thick socks worn underneath (that's the Number One reason I return shoes).

I normally wear an 8 in almost everything, and the 8 was too small in length and really tight even with thin socks, and I do not have wide feet.

Not great for plantar fasciitis ❌Leather immediately creased real bad from the first few min ❌Feels narrow because leather has no give.

Wide is only marked as wide on the box not the shoe tag.

Hoping I returned the right one since sole was also the same width I bought 2 pairs for when 1 breaks because it's a way to wear sneakers in my office without it being super obvious,

I wish I had listened to other reviewers who said this ran really small,

I bought the 11; a10.5 would have been a better fit for me, a 10 probably too small.

I cannot say how they last as I have to return them,

I'm too lazy to return, so will probably order another pair in a larger size.

I already got a blister on my heel and have to wear very thin socks,

but with more support than the similar Dr. Scholl's version.
