These shoes hurt my feet after 5 month's wearing
They are a bit heavy,

But the past few weeks my feet have been in so much pain, and I realized it was from wearing these shoes.

Size runs SMALL
I normally wear size 6.5 and ordered the same.

but they got quite loose once the leather broke in, which is why I thought I would try a lace up version. .

I also noticed a hole in the front right shoe, right after the "bumper" toe, and sole.

Both large toes suffered some damage, as the nail bed on the inner part of my toes detached from the nail bed due to the tightness of the shoe.

But a good strong shoe that would look just fine with casual dress pants and as they have industrial applications I suspect they don't take on salt stains and are probably good for poor surfaces.

They are very slip resistant and I really liked them at first.

Lightweight, seemed like they would be easy to keep clean and the non slip seemed fine

They are truly skid resistant, comfortable, and they have lasted.

This is my second pair, I also have a pair of slip on ones

Added bonus, not only do they not slip in kitchens ( oil and grease ) they don't slip on ice outside, making them an excellent winter shoe.

Not for wide calves
This are a bit snug (normally a 9.5 and ordered a 10) around the toe box.

The back heel is also not very wide so if you have the balance of an elephant on a tight rope like me, that could be an issue later.

but I ordered a half size larger because I wanted to accommodate them with my a sock but these actually fit more like a 9.

Even with a sock they are still too roomy.

These arrived scuffed up on both sides of the bed of the foot  so I took off 1 star for that.

But don't worry they don't have so much stopping power that it  catches your toe and causes you to trip and fall!

They're very cute too, could dress up or casual.

I mean you will not slip or slide in these.

They are pretty comfortable and the sole is grippy enough with little ridges to keep from slipping on slicker surfaces.

There is tons of springy cushion inside, I mean they are oober comfortable.

Today, I did some decent long distance walking in them and at the end of the day, both of my heels were scratched up and raw!

The only thing I'll say is that, the elastic loop on the back of the heel was not sewn on right on the one shoe.

but still cute with a casual dress & leggings.

I was completely amazed at how comfortable they are.

I have not had problems with my plantar fasciitis wearing these.

I have an extremely high arch and no pain wearing these.

After working all day these are so comfy to slip on.

It does not have the rubber sticky feel, it has a smooth slippery feel to it.

The biggest issue is the adjustable heel strap which is rather high up and presses uncomfortably on my ankle bones.

The heel strap alone would be a deal breaker.

Their attractive leather handmade design is appropriate for casual or dress wear.

The rubber sole has good traction avoiding slips.

I like that they easily slip on yet, the size 12 shoes fit my 11.5 ft feet well.

Way, Way Too Narrow for Grown Men
I wear a 10.5 C to E. I ordered an 11.

Reason-they need to have this available in a wide width.

Yet still, the front was too narrow at the front right toe, causing my baby toe to rub tightly against the inside.

but make sure that your width size is a regular, because they don't have these in wide.

In order to get a decent fit, I would have had to send them back and exchange them for a size 11.

The size 11 was way too big, and I suspect that the size 10.5 would have been too big as well.

but these are too small so I ordered another pair size 12 don't know what I'm going to do with the other

Anyway, after 48 hours of wearing thick athletic socks with them, I have stretched them out enough for them to be reasonably comfortable.

They are finally getting comfortable and have held up after being stretched much more than they should in pretty much every direction.

I ordered a size 8 in these, and it was significantly too big and I had to return them

After a few wearing, one of the seams in the left foot starting giving me a little pain in the small toe.

I have never experienced such a shoe size discrepancy in my life.

The extra width can no where near account for the enormous size difference.

BUT, there were two things about these shoes that made me return them: 1) the opening squeezes the top of your feet, so your skin puffs out and your feet look fat even if the fit is perfect; 2) the leather is really soft and wrinkles easily with every movement.

I'm going to keep the Samantha's and return these.

The great thing about these shoes is that you can wear them with a pair of khaki's in a situation where you need to dress casual.

The soles are made to grip slippery surfaces and the upper is breathable.

This second version is definitely true to size, have less of stiff feel and are definitely overall much more comfortable.

The Altama Urban are far more comfortable than their Maritime counter-parts .

I highly recommend for people with active lifestyles or who need a reliable comfortable shoe in a law enforcement scenario.
