I wear a 6.5 in toms so that’s what ordered and when I got them I could barely put my foot into them so I had to order a 7 and they are too big and slip off my heel sometimes.

I also have a narrow foot and they slide off my heel in the beginning.

As others have comments, the mesh around the toes is a bit rough and created a small blister on one of my toes, even with hosiery on.

Heel and color not as picture, runs small.

It also feels tighter at toe box than other brands on same size.

I am returning and ordering a different model and size 1/2 up with this vendor to see if that works.

I also had to add an additional hole on each because the straps were way too long.

They fit perfectly and are nicely padded and comfortable.

Old Friend Men's Moccasin Slipper

My only (minor) concern is that the damn leather laces (which appear to be just for show) keep untying themselves and causing a trip hazard for this old man (that said, I put a dab of crazy glue on the bows and they are now staying in place).

but after two weeks of wearing these slippers (which replaced the same maker and style pair I'd worn out), both feet but especially the right one are sloshing around with a good inch to spare.

Only thing that wears down over time is the moccasin lining (the thick fluffy stuff inside)

I read a lot of reviews on these slippers and people seemed to like them a lot so I bought a pair.

Then I open it and take the slippers out, and Im examining them, and right away I see some small patches of the fur lining sticking out of the bottom sole on the side where it was sewn.

but the point is these slippers were very poorly assembled in my opinion.

This lining will compress over time, and the slipper will get a bit loose fitting I expected that

And how come the sheep lining was all sticking out around the stitching of the slippers?

I wont buy anymore of this brand,  I'll stick to buying the  twenty dollar slippers I've had in the past they were just as comfortable and believe it or not they were made in the USA.

I dont know what all the fuss is over  " Old Friends "  products,  I'm really not impressed by spending sixty dollars on a Made in China slipper,  I also doubt the lining is real sheep wool as the box says,  whos going to take a sample and send it out to get tested?

Personally I dont think these slippers will last long, I've worn mine outdoors a bit, and I notice already some wear on the rubber soles,  after all its cheap Chinese material and probably has very little rubber in them.

Well the label says  Made in China on them, and from my experience over the years is anything from China is junk.

This is why our Nation is just about out of jobs today, we've allowed our government to ship all our jobs to China and the products made there are pure junk.

The new insoles must have been too thin so someone thought it would be ok to whittle some blue foam and then contact cemented it to the white insole shown in the photo.

The slippers arrived in a nice box, and I was impressed over the box they were in its a fancy box with all sorts of instruction on how to wash and care for the product.


I bought these to replace the pair of Old Friends my boyfriend has had for seven years- even after all that time they were still super comfortable and the soles hardly wore out at all!

I put them on, and they do fit, and they are fairly comfortable, I wear an 8 1/2 shoe, so I ordered a  size  9 because of the fur lining, and they do fit, 

but I have had about 5 pair of moccasin slippers that were lined inside and every pair I have owned previously were great and comfortable also , and they were about half the price of these slippers.

Well, they fit, they are comfortable and I'd be out more money to ship them back so I'll just keep them and learn a lesson.

The end of the shoelace came off during tying process on the 2nd wearing..for the price of these boots I’d expect more than two uses of the shoelaces before having to replace them.

As for the laces, they have room for improvement…

I found my foot was moving and sliding a little inside the boot even with tight lacing,
