I ordered an 8 for my daughter.

My daughter wears a 9 in other shoes, and the 9.5s were so small she couldn’t wear them.

Narrow in the from my daughter wears a 10 in all shoe brands but i had to order 1 and 1/2 sizes up tp get the right fit.

They either sent the wrong size or the sizing is way off.

I already ordered a 10-1/2 and am thinking I might have to return those too since these are definitely NOT true to size.

I’d say to go up AT LEAST a whole size, if not a size and a half, for your child if ordering these.

Hands down paying roughly $20 for these shoes is an investment; cheaper shoes cannot compare. She loves the colors and design too and calls them "fancy!"

Asics have actual rubber soles instead of foam soles like nikes have.

They're lightweight, with rubber soles, and strong velcro.

but the soles are very sturdy and grippy.

Parents of children, it's worth it to have the grippy sole so the kids can run and jump and not slip!

They are also uncomfortable; I would have expected at least some form of canvas lining for the sole.

Alas, I will have to invest in getting my usual pair from a UK source, knowing that they will be canvas lined on the sole and have a more normal sized toebox.

However, the upper material is like a canvas and there is no give or elastic panels to assist in putting them on.

First the rope outer on the soles has frayed a lot more quickly than I would expect, leaving loose, twine-fiber-like threads hanging.

As a result, within the first dozen times of wearing them the stitching at the corner of the toe box ripped while putting one of the shoes on (the other one is still holding,

Bought these shoes because I was looking for a TOMS alternative (I HATE the soles of Toms for their lack of support and grip and the fact that I feel like I can feel every tiny stone beneath my foot).

I read here that you need to order bigger so I ordered 8.5 still way too small had to return.

They fit snug,  i went up a full size from normal,

The shoes are very attractive and have a rustic character, allowing them to be worn in dressier situations, for instance a beach wedding.

They also have a supportive rubber sole that is thick enough to feel like you're wearing a shoe rather than a slipper, and they are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time.

The other thing is the ankle strap was too big and I had to pin it.

The straps that go around the calves are quite large ( and I’m 6’4 in height and have pretty thick calves).

I didn’t think I would have an issue with the straps being too big.

the only issue is that being a "one size fits all"  the  sandals  tends to be very large around the calves; i will buy extra velcro so  I can make it tighter

Other one had  before were straps and kept sliding down.

And there’s no rubber or anything on the outer soles so it’s slip prone.

I was a little worried about it being too small (so I was hesitant on ordering this) 

Do not buy if your calves are larger than 17”.

I packaged them back exactly as I'd received them and returned them barely worn

I typically wear size 8 - 8 1/2 W and did as recommended for this style and sized up to a 40, which I returned because the length was way too long and just a sloppy fit.

While I was able to get both free shipping and returns, I found myself to be largely frustrated with this purchase.

I quickly received the replacement shoes which were literally just tossed into an Amazon box along with other item orders and they were two sizes too small.

As it turned out, the store didn't have the combination of style, size and color I wanted, so I wound up ordering them here.

I wear a 6 1/2 - 7 med width and I take a 36 in these, which is a size smaller than the salesperson in the store thought I should wear.

That being said, one of the shoes was at least a half-size bigger than the other.

but there should be some type of quality control check to make sure that they are at least sending you two shoes of the same exact size - no matter what the shoe size is labeled.

but caution others that they may not fit correctly or be the same size even if they are marked as such.

but this whole situation was not ok. First of all, I purchased a knock off version of these (not realizing what they were, just thought they were cute) YEARS ago for $5.

Quality also varied wildly between the different sizes I ordered, with some pairs having a clearly looser grain.

I have returned them and am going to try a full size smaller and order Aus sz 9 and hope that works.

They are glued, not welted, so unless you are interested in a serious arts and crafts project this is not a buy it for life product.

I ordered a US13 in these and it was far too wide and long for my foot.

If you are coming from another set of blunnies, beware - these run much narrower and longer than traditional sizing.

other chelsea boots i have tried are loose around my ankle and would give for a "sloppy" look(maybe made for boot cut jeans) i personally dont like the boot cut look.

I am pretty sad the shoe didn't fit because overall it seemed like a quality product.

but the way this chukka boot is made I don't think I'll even try again unless they get some wide sizes listed.
