Treads started to peel
These vs the most popular brand: I wanted to try something different, also because the most widely known brand could be pricey and I wanted a subtle difference in design

but what I did notice was the treads began to peel of.

The tread was about 1/4 peeled by the end of my shift.

I could only imagine how sweaty my feet would be after a restaurant shift.

But for for some reason, the left shoe is squeezing my left toe side making it sore for the first time.

They are all one piece so I can wash them right off.

but it's because they are all rubber so I deal with that because I'm in the medical field and I love the fact that I could slid the off and wash them quickly if needed

What I've discovered is that they were fine when I was wearing my work socks.

After wearing these for work and being on my feet all day I would never go back to a running shoe.

Great comfortable shoes
I bought my first pair of Dusty Women's Klogs in 2004.

As a nurse in the operating room I was on my feet 8 - 10 hours a day, and these shoes were extremely comfortable.

After I retired, remembering how comfortable they are, I bought another pair in 2014 for everyday wear.

They are still as comfortable and continue to hold up today in 2022.

Since the fit of these are good, I would recommend this style in the leather.

These are the most comfortable shoes ever especially someone who averages over 6,000 steps a day plus they wash so well.

A shoe (or boot or sandal) that I can wear at work or around the house or for a night out, that brings me comfort and not what most shoes I’ve tried seem to treat me after an hour or two.

Propper Men's Series 100 8" Side Zip Waterproof Boot

The design of the side zip and upper of this boot is beyond stupid.

The zipper starts fairly high up above the sole which limits the width that the boot upper opens to put on.

The interior lining "flap" under the zipper is sized so small that the opening of the upper is again limited.

You CANNOT lace these boots and then just use the side zipper to put them on or off.

This defeats the entire purpose of side zip boots to avoid lacing the EVERY time.

I wish propper would fix this and put some memory foam in that area or something… for now moleskin it is!

Addtionally, the waterproof liner (it's not a Gore-tex) is loosely stiched in the boot.

I wear Darn Tough socks which usually prevent all blisters - except this type.

Great boots for work keeps your feet dry and comfortable.

I've worn them at work the last two days and my feet feel great.

Room for Improvement
They come with a strange lace system that has a draw cord instead of just being able to be tied like normal laces.

I didn't care for it and would've just preferred normal laces, as I think most people do.

Whoever thought that lacing system was a good idea needs to be slapped.

but none of them has the comfort and the wide toe box like the Keens.

DURABLE WORK SHOE
I have worn these to work quit a bit and they have held up good much better than my sketchers work shoes i had previously,

They are as comfortable as safety toes can be,

but more comfortable than most others I've had.

button cord thing instead of shoe laces but overall they’re very comfortable.

They have definitely outperformed most safety shoes I've had, only equal to my winter season boots also from Keen.

It is also scuff resistant and seems to be holding up well to construction work.

Poor wear quality
I bought these boots for our 13 year old son to wear on the farm for chores and other daily work over the summer.

However, 8 weeks of wear is a poor value.

but the wear quality of these just doesn't justify the purchase.

The stitching comes undone and the toe cover wears out very fast.

Not a great hiking boot
I wore these on a 2 mile moderate hike which is a pretty decent incline where you have to navigate terrain that requires you to step up.

However, after those 8 weeks, the boots broke down where the rubberized toe meets the sole of the boot.

Even the soles are holding up phenomenally and I'm NOT a dainty little girly-man.

but disappointed that even brand new the leather was not conditioned well enough to repel water when walking in grass with dew on it.

I got a blister on my heel due to that and it was very uncomfortable to walk in these.

The leather of the boot was very dry and soaked up water when walking in wet grass.

Great warehouse boots
I bought the boots to wear at work in a warehouse they work great.

We bought a pair of Danner boots on sale for $100 in early August and they're still going strong in late October.

We really liked these boots while they were functional,

Husband has worn same style boot for years.

Anyway, the first pair of Ariat Terrain boots are still going strong after 5 years.

For 10.5 wide (EEE), these are too narrow.

Compare to Rockport same size these are also about a FULL 1/2 inch shorter and entire shoe about 1/4 inch narrower.


Just needs some stretching - somehow there isn't a wide enough option - 3E isn't quite enough.

It fits perfect I now have two pair of this same shoe, I bougth a pair of florsheims in Seattle Wash, back in 1959 and I am still wearing them, of course I have had them re-soled and new heels .

These shoes are very comfortable to wear all day at work,

Kinda big in toe area, so have to tighten laces more than usual.

but the material is so bad the first they I use the sole start to crack don’t buy don’t spend your money one of my friends has the same issue I have nothing against the seller Mr max was fast 24 hours and received my product.

Appear very durable and I stood in 4in of water for about 30-40min and still had dry feet.

Otherwise after one work week of wearing them, no problems.

Solid, unforgiving, concrete floors are murder on my feet.

These will keep your feet dry as long as water doesn't come over the top of them.
