The bottom is stainless steel and some have said they feel it’s a bit slippery.

The only drawback for me was there is no padding at all so walking any distance became uncomfortable for me.

There is plenty of room in them to keep my toes happy, and they soften the roughness of the pool floor (and they also protect my feet when I forget about the two things that are rounded and stick up and are NOT very comfortable to kick or walk on!).

My daughter wears a 5 1/2 and these fit well without worry of rubbing.

Ordered a size 4 and the fit is much better, they should fit her all summer.

They are light and easy to walk in through the sand - plus they are really easy to clean/wash off when you come off the beach.

BUT, prior to wearing them around the house, I wore them to the beach and they are absolutely perfect for that!

I always wear an 8 and these fit great for length -

I will be wearing them for that purpose without question - and being black, they'll go with basically any swimsuit!

The the only good thing about them is that they did fit like I hoped they would… true to size.

They fit great, and feel both secure and soft.

but a couple of  loop ties just came off --- anybody that has any climbing experience would say that these are chinese junk --- comfortable --tight at toes --- i was asked to change my review i did but on second thought --why do i want another piece of junk -- that they offered --- sorry but i am just an average old man -- dont buy these i am sending them back

I did not think I would like these and intended to return them

The only issue was the straps hot right at my pinky toenail, which could be annoying.

I do not think there can be any claim to arch support.

They've been wearing out and don't have as much arch support as I need.

However, they're not much of an improvement from my Teva flip flops - similar arch support

Would not reccomend for walking around anywhere.

but not supportive for walking around, not to mention the noise they make.

So comfortable, great arch support, easy to walk in all day.

They are also the perfect sandal for going from beach to dinner because the gold can be dressed up.

They are pretty, fit true to size and would be good house shoes.


I needed a pair of open sandals cuz of a foot injury  got a similar pair of reef sandals out if necessity and fell in love ..these are the best most comfortable sandals ever made

Merrell Sandspur Oak Men Dark Earth/Potters Clay

This strap is no longer good for wider feet.

I ware a wide width and these are just a bit to narrow in a D width.

I would not recommend this Sandal for guys with feet wider then a E. If Merrell made these in half sizes I beleve they would have fit me better.

Unfortunately the upper Velcro strap is now much shorter then exact sandal I got 3 years back.
