Yesterday, a small sharp pointed object began protruding through the leather on the footbed on one sandal.

It was metal and sharp, much like a small tack, and firmly implanted in the footbed.

but rated them a 4 because the footbed is a bit too firm for my liking.

but is way too far back towards the heel.

I have another pair of ecco sandels that are over 10 years old and still holding up well.

Snug and firm
The support around the foot from the arch to the toes is snug.

- The front strap is comfortable and stretchable with no hair pulling going on compared to some sandals that I've tried on.

There are padding as well on the straps which provides a very comfortable hold.

- Soles feel comfortable and there is a "bounce" feel to it.

They are quite comfortable and last for many years, even under high stress hiking situations.

- Straps are sturdy as well like the Yucatan's or Offroad's.

I prefer this over the other buckle version as it looks to be sturdier and firmer.

- Edges on the straps are made of soft material which doesn't cause any chafing or blisters.

The sole is cushy and bouncy as advertised, straps are sturdy and secure, and the craftsmanship is good.
