I did find that the front of the shoe, the width from where your big toe ball joint would be parallel to your pinky toe, where the widest part of your foot usually is - that part in the shoe definitely needs to be a tad wider - I do not have wide feet at all, I’ve never had to buy wide width.

For me it does not leave a lot of toe or wiggle room if I were to wear thicker socks.

I have worn them a few time just in the house because I am trying to decide to live with the lump; hopefully it will soften up or just send them back.

but always 10 in boots, and these as well, with plenty of room to hike in on incline, when your foot slides; you need extra room, also with thick socks.

As far as hiking boots go, I would say these are probably the most comfortable you’re going to get.

Great for light hiking on hiking trails in the smoky mountains.

Let me say I’m impressed with the lightness of these boots.

That was really the only other factor that would have made them almost impeccable boots.

I love the comfort of these boots.

I thought these KEEN boots were exactly what I wanted.

As for the rest of the boot, they are made very well and everywhere else is sturdy and comfortable.

I wore my Keen boots without Any problems.

These had extra room in the length and the width was great for me;

They are not as heavy as other hiking shoes, yet grip the soil nicely.

My foot doesn't move around a lot while I'm hiking which is good!

The support is way better than my Merrell hiking shoes and I love the look!

Best fitting shoe I have had in years.

As for the narrow fit, My foot is not at all narrow and having flat feet, my foot spreads out in a shoe, these fit so well I can wear them with the laces undone and they don't move.

Also, I remember finding Soda brand platform sandals and loving the CUSHION so much I just got 2 pairs right away then hiked 3 miles home IN one pair COMFORTABLY.

I would recommend buying better laces as the ones they come with are very think and have a strange texture to them.

Just strange that a shoe that describes itself as waterproof would be so awkward in the wet. Edit.

The problem with most waterproof footwear is if they do get water inside then they are very difficult to dry.

When water gets inside the holes in the sole, it squeaks.

but I was shocked at how poor the soles performed in the wet.

My only negative was that I ordered a half size larger than my normal size based on the recommendation and some of the reviews.


Get a size or half a size bigger is my advice.

For walking around and light workouts, the extra room is not an issue.

I have taken these hiking into extremely muddy and wetter conditions and I have been pleasantly surprised.
