Danner Men's Mountain 600 4.5" Hiking Boot

work boot

Can’t see us ever getting a different pair of “work” boots.

width

Maybe a "break in" period is required or maybe I just have a wide, odd foot.

Boots used in Idyllwild and Mt Whitney , The media could not be loaded.

Make sure you measure your foot as I went a half size down due to buying the wide.

They definitely run a little large in both width and length.

.so if you're only slightly wide, you'll probably be fine with medium.

uncomfortable

Update October 27, 2016: After wearing them at home for a few hours over a few days, I noticed some pushing on the outsides of my big toes, to the point that they became uncomfortable, and realized that

toe shoe-box

There are small folds and wrinkles inside the toe box.

sweaty foot

The inside liner (Danner Dry) is almost like a thin layer of plastic, so by the end of the day, my feet are definitely a little sweaty.

soft foot

They feel soft around the foot, and fit like a glove.

finish

Used them to walk around at work and comfortable from start to finish.

boot

Wearing them inside the house for now to "warm-up" to make sure I do get a formed and fitted boot once taking out into the real world. AHEM!

Despite this minor flaw these boots are great.

Other cheap hiking shoes/boots don't get it if you are max-ing out their usage.

I paid a lot more for these boots, like three times more, and they should last more than three months.

This is a highly rated boot and you can see the quality in the materials used Have yet to test in the field for longer hikes.

but these boots are really cool, with that classic hiking boot look, and are a great all-around boot that could do some light trail work during the day, (and assuming they don't get too dirty), pair with some jeans for an evening at the pub.

I also need "agile" shoes that move with me, as well, like when I changed directions quickly with a dog, or need to run or jump, or whatever, and hiking boots typically don't accommodate for this type of motion because you feel like you're on "top" of those type of supportive footbeds and soles.

Needless to say, I've given up on these boots.

comfortable

Money well spent Remarkably comfortable, right outa the box.

The footbeds are very comfortable and supportive and don't trigger my neuroma pain, as has happened with previous boot Lastly, VERy easy to lace and unlace!

It also is comfortable right out of the box I've tried several different models of Danners in similar styles, including the Vicious and the 435.

It also is comfortable right out of the box.

So comfortable, in fact, that I hope they don't break in!

The footbed in the 600 is both supportive and comfortable.

This is one of the best fitting hiking shoes I have worn due to it being wide.

Great for long walks- light, have some roll in the shape if the sole, supportive, and fit me well.

but bought these in 8 and they fit perfectly.

The new Mountain 600 fits very well all around, and does not have any heel lift.

Golden Fox Enzo Men's Chukka Boot Casual

thick sole

Unfortunately, the design of this shoe is more like a work boot, with a bulbous toe and thick soles.

De primero no me adaptaba a las botas despues de cuatro meses de uso no las cambio por nada son una maravilla son mis zapatos de uso diario las amo

sole comfortable

but more work boot than chukka This boot is superbly made with great materials and an incredibly comfortable sole, but I returned it because I expected a chukka-style boot like what's shown in the photo.

sizing

For sizing, I bought two sizes that are generally around what I wear and returned the one that didn't fit, this in my opinion is the best way to go with Amazon because their return policy is so simple and easy to complete.

size smaller

Golden Fox offered to provide a pair one size smaller to me,

Good grip, comfortable uphill and downhill, very soft on the foot, and they look nice.

I have been impressed by them - beautiful finish, water-tight construction, break in (over time) to a comfortable and conforming fit.

The fit and finish is comparable to the Red Wing chukka.

They feel very comfortable and don’t weigh too much.

Comfy and Warm My 3rd pair, comfy right out of the box, not too flexible, not too stiff just right for walking with no pinching or hard spots.

Toasty warm soft leather lining (except for toe), and leather faced latex insole.

Great value in a boot that is comfortable enough to be a shoe.

Of the 3 this Enzo Chukka has the softest and thinnest sole, making it, while still definitely a boot, the most comfortable shoe like feel when you walk.

The insole also has a noticeable arch support that some may find annoying or uncomfortable, I myself like it and find it quite comfortable.

All in all this is a great boot for casual wear, the leather is quality and the fit is very comfortable and for the price you can't beat it.

Affordable high quality boots These boots are awesome.

They are a good crossover between a dress shoe and a boot-expect them to wear closer to a boot than dress shoe.

I also own the Golden Fox American Heritage Work Boot Chukka, and the Golden Fox Arizona Chukka.

Worth It I bought these to replace an old pair of chukka boots I had to wear to work since my office recently instated jeans everyday.

But after a few wears they have stayed in place and I've had no problem with them falling out when taking the boots on and off.

Overall, I think the boot is a good value and I have received several compliments on their appearance while wearing them.

wear

but narrower for me, but it's completely within reason as it is, and I have enough space to wear them with wool socks in winter.

They have good soles that have worn well and are stable.

So I ordered this Enzo chukka boot, in the size I have been wearing.

I wear these with a suit and they look good.

I treated them with Huberds Shoe Grease right away to protect the leather and let it soak in for a about a week before my first wear.

I have not needed to go that route, even with my higher than average instep, arch support is adequate for my wearing comfort.
