Even two months in, I have to wear ankle socks to make sure my heels don't bleed, which is a shame because I like to run as barefoot-like as possible.

On the inside of the upper material, the part that lays on the top-sides of your feet, there are silicone grips, making it difficult to get these on if you have socks on.

Unfortunately the shoe is smaller than a normal fit.

Great racer for minimal runners I've been running zero drop and barefoot for years so my review is based on over a decade of such running.

It's pretty simple: the shoe is super light and the reflex plate gives it a bit of rigidity that I like for road racing.

I've been wearing Altras exclusively for running for about a year.

Having said all that, the shoe is very light weight with a thin breathable upper and an ultralight sole.

I've slowly been reducing the amount of cushion while I improve my gait, and this is now my slimmest shoe.

The race shoes are comfortable and so light that you can barely feel you've got them on.

With that being said the shoes are great, extremely comfortable, and I love the light weight minimalist feel.
