This boot is consistently too big in the heel (even tried several sizes),

I am a size 7 with a somewhat narrow foot, so if you have wide feet, these will not work for you.

Cute and comfortable
I’m a big fan of Franco Sarto shoes.

Franco Sarto is my favorite shoe brand for comfort and high quality at a more than fair price.

They look far more expensive then they cost.

Franco Sarto Womens Meyer Knee High Flat Boots

A bit tight in the heel
I got these for $100 in a sale and my review is based on that price point.

The zip is pretty stiff and tight over the back of the heel, as some other reviews stated.

The box had been taped shut by Amazon and one of the zips was damaged at the heel exactly the way I stated above.

I think you need to give yourself a little room or you will break the zipper eventually at the heel just like this person did.

I think it'd be hard to get them on and off without undoing the zipper past the heel, too, so it's not like you can avoid unzipping it that far.

The back of my heel touched the back of the shoe more snuggly than I wanted.

And the heel is a little narrow so wearing a regular sock is impossible.

It feels like a real challenge to zip over my heel which is weird and I don’t want to force the zipper.

The zipper has a lining on the inside that is easy to catch in the zipper if you're not being careful.

In the previous pair I did have the zipper issue as many other people have expressed as well.

but wasn't wide enough for my calfs I should have gotten X-wide.

Width of calf is actually slightly large on me (I ordered the wide calf),

The shoe was very tight around the width of my foot.

but ordered wide and they did not fit like they were wide.

I had to exchange it, and when I did, I opted to get a half-size bigger, too, so that I'd never have the issue myself.

Sadly, I had to return them because they are a very tall boot.

It's true leather, it's a Franco Sarto, it's slightly big around my ankles and have a more comfortable fit around my calves, not tight.

I love them and will buy more Franco Sarto’s.

All in all, I think it was a steal to get these at this price.


The quality was great for the price and the boot is a good design.

I am 5'4",  120lbs and the boot length is just fine.

I went out on a limb and ordered a 7.5 shoe that was considered "Used very good condition" because I didn't want to give up on the boot as it's very beautiful and was the exact aesthetic I was searching for for a while!

They look like they'd last for years if you took care of the leather, and their simple design means they're pretty timeless.

But very nice shoes and great soft leather.

Due to this and my height I'm returning and it hits awkwardly on my legs.

I returned these boots because they didn’t fit

however, when they came in the boots appeared to be tried on alot or the leather had faded due to long "shelf" life?

The leather appeared faded and worn in some areas.

I love my shoes it doesn’t fit small like most Franco Sarto shoes and it’s not too narrow either it feels like true medium with and true to size very comfortable and my feet is on the wide medium side.

I have skinny ankles and the straps on these can’t be adjusted accordingly other than that they’re great!

Straps are Velcro so should be able to fit most ankle sizes.
