As far as sizing goes they do run a bit narrow, and about a half size small compared to other brands we frequent Luke stride rite and merrell.

Our "go to" shoes for our toddler are a Walmart brand with a solid sole and a great price, but I needed a half size and they don't carry half sizes.

EDIT: I decided to reorder, and the replacement pair was perfect.

but the "medium" width shoe feels very narrow and tight across his foot.

The way the shoe is made it is quite tight across the top of the foot where the criss-cross elastics are.

Saucony is good as stride rite for wide feet
We have only bought stride rite to this point for my kids.

but his foot isn't lifting out of the back of the shoe when he walks so it's a good design 5)I'm a stickler for avoiding toxins as much as possible especially for kids and knowing feet are porous and stuff goes right to your bloodstream thru your feet.

Comfortable and great for children's feet
For children, it should be all about comfort, not what something looks like (but these shoes do look great).

We keep buying them because they are the best shoes for a toddler with a higher instep or wider feet.

The comfort and ease of wear of these shoes for a child's feet is the important factor.


After Stride Rite, these are my favourite shoes for my boys.

The shoes from a parents perspective are good quality and appear to look as if they are going to last as long as 5 year old boys shoes do.

From a childs perspective he couldn't be happier with the purchase and has worn them daily since the purchase.

1) these shoes look really classy (the grey ones) 2) they seem well made and comfortable 3) I got a 9wide Clark's sneaker too and he walked in one on one foot and the saucony on the other and several times insisted on keeping the saucony ones 4)the length is good and plenty of room to grow

however look very nice, were lightweight and Saucony is a great brand.

I just so happened to check at the right time and got a 10.5 pair of these Saucony shoes on a really great deal ($12).

Ordered these shoes for my 5 year old as a replacement to his last pair of never lasting stride rights.

but they have the same symbol on the side of the shoe which he thinks is pretty cool when we are wearing our Saucony shoes at the same time.

The shoe is great, very good quality, fits as expected (we purchased 9.5W) and son loves it.

Great price though, I may chance ordering a different pair and hope we just had a dud.

They wore well and were well made - my boys pretty much wore these everyday and I've been buying this style consistently in larger and larger sizes as my boys grow with them.

The only thing he doesn't like is that the laces are much shorter than his other shoes which makes tying them and double-knotting trickier.

but they were really, really stiff for a toddler learning to walk.

As it is there is about 2 inches of exposed Velcro when it is fastened, picking up all sorts of debris.

The velcro strap needs to be pulled tight for it to wrap over completely.

It's hard to find a shoe that's sturdy in quality, comfortable, stylish, and affordable, yet Saucony nails each one right on the head, it doesn't matter if they're adult or toddler shoes, everything is consistent.

I'm a huge fan of Saucony Jazz shoes and knew their quality would be perfect for two bounce-off-the-wall twins.

On the first day my son wore his new pair of shoes, the threading on the front of the right shoe became completely unthreaded.

Quickly fell apart
These were worn only around the house and started falling apart within weeks. Disappointing.

Both pairs started to fall apart within two weeks of wear.

My son wears a size 5 and I ordered a 6/7 in this sandal and he couldn't get it on his foot.

Same for the second pair - shoe size of 2 so I ordered a 2/3 and couldn't get it on either.

The toe strap is definitely set back far enough to make the shoe size way off.

Just be sure and order up in size by probably 2 sizes.

My son wears a 3 wide in saucony and I ordered the 6/7 for him, they are a perfect fit.

Great flip flops for kids…soft and cozy for running around in all summer long! !

I fortunately ordered a size up and they fit just right!

but the size 6/7 fit him great with a little room to grow.

My oldest has a very petit narrow foot and wears a size 2 so I ordered the 4/5 for him and the fit is perfect for him as well.
