If you have regular or standard sized feet I don’t think ordering down even a whole size would work as it’s the top strap that’s problematic.

The top of the toe box where it hits the top of the foot is a little stiff and needs some breaking in.

It is a stiff material, and I was looking for something softer that would mold to my feet.

Seemed true to size and the heal height was just right - not too high that it would be distracting when walking.

after only one season of wear the threads on the straps are almost completed frayed on the right one, and starting to unravel on the left.

My mistake was to wear them to the Eras tour and four plus hours on my feet gave my blisters on the balls of my feet and a small blister under one foot's front strap and the bottom of my feet still sting two days later.

I did not find them to be that comfortable either, you'd think the rubber soles would be cushy

I ended up returning these shoes due to sizing issues,

You won't regret it (at the very least they won't fit and you can return them for free. Seriously, what's stopping you?)

The laces seem minimally dyed and not uniform.I get the thing about monitors,

but the relative color between the laces and the uppers does not seem to match what I got and the picture.

however, I should mention that they run a tiiiiny bit small.

Paid for the Sperry Gold Cup boat shoe and received the basic Sperry boat shoe.

And the basic Sperry boat shoe has a horribly cheap foam sole now.

They give you a tiny bit more height as well, due to the additional padding.

but they are the perfect shoe for the weekend and summer.

I forgot how much of a pleasure, and how comfortable these are.

The leather is so soft and flexible, the shoe is so comfortable I wish I could wear them all the time,

I have peripheral neuropathy and these are one of the few shoes that are comfortable.

Enter the Sperry Gold Cup - lined with a padded foot bed that makes it feel like you're walking on clouds.

but even the look seemed to pop a bit more (I ordered the original brown with white soles, such a handsome shoe).
