but  my toes  still feel a bit crowded in, and if I were to actually use these by walking,  I may  find that they feel uncomfortable or maybe cause skin abrasions.

Deep in the sneaker it feels different..  Boots are too uncomfortable and bulky for me.

I am likely to send  two of these back  and keep only one pair unless none fit the way I need them to.

but with the laces exposed as they are (prominently over the top and nearly to the sides of the sneaker)  they can get caught on small, fine, twigs or briar  if you are hiking in the woods, the eyelets too and also the string sewn at the back of the sneaker so you can pull it up at the heel (even though otherwise this serves a useful purpose).

The only thing I did not love was that the back part by my heel was very high.

but were soaked even just walking through dewy grass so I've been trying a few other pairs to see what works.

The eyelets are made of string sewn into loops on  the sneaker  and if  any of those loops break, it is hard or impossible to fix.

but the colors of these  are coordinated in a way in which the  contrasting colors are  nicely distributed so they are not so weird and  thus  do NOT look  like they are strictly for  teenagers whose tastes are for  outlandish styles, and  the sneakers can better be matched with  toned-down colors or  clothing  such as  khakis, work pants (etc) and not strictly a  colorful track suit, but I  am mainly looking for comfortable waterproof  sneakers  or trail runners or  trekking shoes.

I bought these for a trip to Ireland, I put them on straight out of the box, felt great and were great on the rainy days..

I wore these, walking many miles, while touring and some light hiking in wet/rainy/cold conditions and they kept my feet very dry and pretty warm.

I have 3 pairs of merrelles They fit like a glove I don't know about the water proof yet as it hast rained yet I just got them yesterday been wearing them around the house

And, as I said, they're actually waterproof.

but again, I really was most interested in the waterproof feature and they have not disappointed me yet.

I did not slip once on wet rocks, grass, or cobblestones.

I do not treat them kindly, walking 20kms a day, 5 days a week in rough terrain, in all weather conditions (even light snow).

The original flaw was that the eyelet for the shoe laces was so small that a shoe lace would not fit through it.

This is NOT a good kitchen shoe, as a drop of grease will send you skating, and the insoles “die” quickly.

Comfortable Hiker Shoe
I really like how comfortable this shoe is.

I have worn this shoe for a week straight all day and have not had any problems with sore feet or fatigue,  which for me is great, because I have had a lot of problems with plantar fasciitis in the past and gout in my right foot.

They keep my feet comfortable and as dry as possible, and the only thing that eventually wears on them is the sole.

I wear for the most part a 10.5 mens in a running shoe so that's what I ordered, and they fit perfectly.

Good hiking shoes
Light weight, my boy likes it.

He doesn’t complain about his feet hurting after wearing them all day at school.

Fits perfectly and can withstand a lot of foot traffic.

They are lightweight and have already stretched a little having just been worn twice and are even more comfortable now.

Propét Men's Cliff Walker Low Strap Ankle Boot

I've purchased shoes that were supposed to be xx-wide, to find that they were only wide.

Straps too short for wide foot with high instep.

Shoes fit small (width) compared to others made by Propet.

Now they are shorter and very hard to tighten enough to engage the velcro surfaces.

Velcro straps rather than laces, which I can't get down to tie properly.

Leather Hiking Shoe
Very well made, with hip replacements and knee, the Velcro closures makes these handicapped user friendly, they fit well and are comfortable, I would recommend these, they arrived on time.

it is hard to find shoes that fit and don't hurt my feet I have ordered 2 pairs of these (managed to wear one pair out), both times I have been very happy with the fit.

They are made of good leather and very comfortable.

but seem to get more comfortable as the day wears on.

Update: shoes have broken in well and are very comfortable with good support.

I took a gamble and purchased these on the "Try before you buy" program and presto, they fit perfect.

If the proper width is not selected your little toe will likely cause a hole in the mesh.

It took about 2 years for the side seams to develop the holes that other reviews mention.

but showing rips in 2 weeks
Got these shoes about two weeks ago and I was hoping to write a GLOWING review!

But I’ve only put in about 10-15 miles of brisk walking on city sidewalks so far (I’m not actually a runner), and a seam has come off loose around the laces, and now the lace holes are beginning to show small rips.

After about 4 months of medium wear (walking or running) the top lining and foam always wears through,

I do have a narrow foot and they are a little roomy,

I ordered an 8 in these, and my toe is almost to the toe box, and I can feel slight pressure after long walks.

My only complaint is that my last pair split a little bit near the little toe and toe box.

Otherwise the support remained great - these are my main hiking shoes.

I was able to wear them out the first time on a run and hike and they didn't hurt my feet.

but they are still wearable and comfortable.

They are very comfortable and have great tread on the bottom.

I don't think i will ever switch back as these were so much lighter and more comfortable for long distance hike.

EVOLV Shaman Climbing Shoes

Bleeding after a few climbs and cannot endure the pain.

It took about two months with a lot of pain at toe box for the shoes to fit.

I've used for indoor and outdoor rock climbing and wear them walking around the gym (i don't take them off between climbs) Overall my favorite climbing shoes I've owned so far.

If you have an incredibly wide toe box like I do and struggle to find aggressive shoes that don't hurt your feet so bad you can't even function with them on give the Shaman's a shot.

After a few days of wear (not even at the gym yet, I've found just sitting at the computer helps so much to break in new shoes less painfully) they started to mold to my foot and now I understand exactly what people mean when they say that, it's actually incredible, if you look inside it looks like a big mold of my foot as if the shoes were designed for me.

I hope Evolv never stops making these shoes because Chris Sharma's design is incredible and I never want to stop being able to wear them, no joke.

These shoes are amazing, I ordered them 1/2 size up where as my other two pairs of Evolv shoes (Kronos and Zenist) are 1 size up and when I first put them on I thought I made a big mistake in getting them in size 11 instead of 11.5 like my other two pair

Favorite hiking shoe
The fact that I wore these for an entire two weeks in rain and crazy terrain in Iceland (did the Fimmvorduhal trail - 15.5 miles) with ZERO hot spots and foot sores blow my mind.

I wear these athletic shoes when I have foot pain.

This order was my second pair I am still wearing the first

but after wearing them for a while I didn’t want to wear anything else.

They seem to take a lot of pressure off my back when working or walking on cement.Also getting the extra insoles makes them like wearing a snug new pair even after six months use.
