My only gripe, the laces are not very long.

however it doesn't seem to get a long with laces.

Been wearing them lightly for about 2 weeks and it destroys laces before the shoes are even broken in. Disappointed.

My foot sloshes around inside no matter how tight I tie the laces.

I now prefer to wear a pair of Merino or Alpaca wool socks and put up with damp non smelly footwear that dries much faster.

The uppers seem to fail before the soles are worn out.

These are the most comfortable, easily adjustable hiking shoes I have ever owned.

The Toe protection is good for a reasonably light hiking shoe.

Very comfortable for walking as well as hiking.

They fit great, look good, and perfect for walks, hiking, or lounging.

I order these 1/2 size larger than my dress shoes and they're right on.

but a narrow or small foot, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere.

Which is disappointing, after scouring the reviews and being aware of others saying how tight the toe box is and the narrow cut, I decided to give it a try due to Amazon's return policy allowing me to take a chance.

After about 50 yards the bunching up of my toes and the constant friction on my heels caused me to take them off and return  home with the spare sandals I had taken with me just in case. Using some simple algebra I did some math to get the ratios of width to length of the shoe, even ordering another size (or two!)

though it would give my toes and heels an excess of room lengthwise, the width would still be too narrow for comfort and my foot would constantly be sliding back and forth inside the shoe from the excess length.

but did not last as long as I expected
Purchased this in February 2023 for work and on 16th August noted it hat a split near the sole.


Son walks on these everyday and the soles didn’t last

I had to remove the inserts that came with it, they were too thin and provided no arch support, I have very low arches and have several inserts that do a good job of keeping my feet and back pain free.

I was barely able to fit those inserts into the shoe, which is a first, every other shoe I own accepted my collection of inserts as if custom-made for them.

Another sign their sizing is off, particularly along the sides as the inserts bowed up just before the toe box.

I was barely able to fit my foot into the shoe, it was literally  heel to toe contact with a concerning snugness, I could tell without needing a long hike, this would chew up my heels and bruise my lead toes.

I consulted their sizing chart on several of their products and right off I will say it's off by a little over half a inch.

My two hiking shoes are the only ones I’ve ever gotten where are on them the other pair I have is a nicer dress your shoe bought it three years ago still have it it works great souls amazing,

but the hiking shoes, both of them each went up three 14k footers here in Colorado before they got any damage or holes or anything like that in them.

I bought these to go hiking in Arizona and they were again amazing!

I ordered a half size up than I normally wear in a dress shoe, they fit perfect with a thicker sock.

However, they do run about a size and a half too big, the open foot design, along with how big these are, make it difficult to walk, so I might have to save these until they actually fit her.

They buckle with velcro, it is strong enough to hike the shoe together,

They attach on the side with Velcro so are easy on/off.

They are padded,and appear to be comfortable.

I suspect i will end up going with a different brand more true to size.

THese 10.5 shoes are just a hair shorter than my regular size 11s i wear daily.

Reading these reviews, a theme seems to be that they are long and narrow.

As to the question of their value I must say that I do not look forward to putting them on again having worn them for a few hours.

If you are thinking about wearing them outside I suggest you take your $85.00 and flush it down the toilet.

The all-leather-and-nub sole HAS worn down - the only nubs left are at the arch of my foot, and I got a hole in the toe of one shoe that's not noticeable at all.

Unfortunately, I found that in even a month of wear, the nubs in the crucial areas are mostly gone, and the leather underneath is showing wear.

The closer I look at the leather the more convinced I am of its true nature: garbage that should be taking up space in some Dominican Republican landfill.

The marketing pictures are fake, they are a cherry picked sample that do not represent the quality I received.

I even have taken some long walks (not hikes) in them and they've done OK.

I'd say the selling point after this time is that the leather is very very supple and still strong and looking good (I'm told I'm wearing dress shoes sometimes), and the sole,

I'm still wearing these shoes, surprisingly, and they lasted a good bit longer and with harder wear than I expected after 3 months - I figured that if they were going to go, I might as well go for broke, and they're still very comfortable and reliable.

But it still feels good, for those guys looking for a comfortable shoe.

The leather insert is comfortable and has a noticeable cushion to it I'm not used to.

The shoe fits snugly, which I enjoy - previous moccasins or boat shoes tended to flop on my foot more like full-cover flip flops than a full shoe, so this is great.

The shoe fits very, very snug on the sides as well as the top.


Very pleased with all aspects: materials, finish, colour, function, and they fit better than expected.

The 'lots of little nubs' construction gave me a real flexibility, let me feel the ground in ways that my foot normally associates with barefoot, and still gave me traction when I needed it.

The 2 reasons I gave them 4 stars is because they are very slowly starting to come apart, and they're really hard to clean (suede).

My only issue was a little bit of chafing on the bottom of my big toe from the straw material.

I ordered the 7.5 and they were too small.

Unfortunately most size 5’s tend to be too big for me.

They are so comfy I actually wore them for some hiking and walking, when I otherwise would have worn sneakers.
