Tying up the shoes puts too much pressure on the area where the eyelets are located.

But, unfortunately it does not allow me to lace them as tightly.

With the inability to fully tighten laces on this shoe, I find them a bit too big, and the right one slips ever so noticeably.

The shoe needs a more cushiony insole and the tongue needs to be made a little bit wider to protect the top of the foot.

I bought these in a 6 as reviews say they are suitable for wide feet, & the 5.5's were too tight.

On my normal, none wide foot they weren't exactly roomy either.

but the most annoying feature is the narrow ridging on the soles.

It is impossible to clear loose grass from the soles as it gets trapped in the very narrow ridges, and even running water on it does little to remove it.

My feet were in perfect condition, no pain in my legs or hips, amazing.

I've always loved Merrell shoes & would have continued to try & find a Wide fit if the footbed had been comfy.
