I normally wear a size 9 in all my shoe sizes but when I got these and tried them on they was really big, more like a size 10 and I couldn't tighten them up enough with the laces to make them fit tight.

I find it hard to get the laces done to an acceptable place and fit bigger than I would have expected

They're not slip resistant in the slightest so I couldn't use them for work

And it caused my feet to slide  a little bit

If the proper width is not selected your little toe will likely cause a hole in the mesh.

It took about 2 years for the side seams to develop the holes that other reviews mention.

Got these shoes about two weeks ago and I was hoping to write a GLOWING review!

But I’ve only put in about 10-15 miles of brisk walking on city sidewalks so far (I’m not actually a runner), and a seam has come off loose around the laces, and now the lace holes are beginning to show small rips.

After about 4 months of medium wear (walking or running) the top lining and foam always wears through,

I do have a narrow foot and they are a little roomy,

I ordered an 8 in these, and my toe is almost to the toe box, and I can feel slight pressure after long walks.

My only complaint is that my last pair split a little bit near the little toe and toe box.

Otherwise the support remained great - these are my main hiking shoes.

These shoes are very comfortable,

but they are still wearable and comfortable.

They are very comfortable and have great tread on the bottom.

I don't think i will ever switch back as these were so much lighter and more comfortable for long distance hike.

I was able to wear them out the first time on a run and hike and they didn't hurt my feet.

I have hiked in them and feel like they have great traction.

I did wear them hiking, which was nice for the traction.

It leaves about an inch of space before my toes which will be helpful to go hiking,

The tongue was a little odd with no padding so I needed to wear a little heavier sock that I usually do; this may have contributed to the issues.

but the sole breaks down in just a couple months.

Local cobbler said these foam soles are not replaceable so is a waste of money unless the design changes to a more durable or replaceable option

However due to constant heel sliding in and out had to add heel grips to resolve that and not return them.

Also, the heel defianately goes up and down more than in other shoes,

but it has a little bit of a European/dress shoe type angle at outside of tow, that doesn't accomodate wide tows like mine.

Asolo EVO GV shoes size 8 & 1/2  (my normal size of 9 too big for Asolo shoes) are very high quality construction and apperance.

They are waterproof, they wear well, fit good and just an all around comfortable shoe .

I bought these because I tried them on at another store and they fit like a glove.

We all have different foot structures and ASOLO makes a shoe that seems to fit me perfectly.

I typically wear Salomon shoes and a 9.5 fits me just right.

If I want a shoe that is the most versatile and covers the widest variety of terrain, or if I have to be certain I’m not going to have any foot issues over a very long hike, I always end up coming back to these.

For hiking, I like the added support though.
